Concerened.....should I stick with my V360 or get the T809
OK I got a V360 because I sold my Razr while visiting Miami to a friend who just could not afford one new or used anywhere else. Out of desperation, I got the V360, as the store had nothing else that touched my fancy, and I NEEDED a cell before I flew back to DC. I got the V360 for 4 things in particular. I'd become fond of Moto....the mini-usb charging and pc connector in one is a time and spacesaver. I have moto phonetools which easily puts my contacts back into my phones with all the details I like. I really wanted transflash capability, in order to store stuff there rather than the phone. I wanted MP3 capability so that in those times where I drive out and am waiting in the car stopped, I can play some of my fave songs, and also for thos...

Reception & Service
Other that the Phone scoop review i haven't read anything about the phone's ability to be a phone. How do you find the reception indoors? Also, any dropped calls? Hangups when going back and forth with call waiting? The PS review stated they got 1 ring and right to voice mail many times and became frustrated during their test. What do you all think?
Thanks,

Using the T809 on an Airplane :?
I want to watch videos or play MP3s on an airplane but we are not allowed to have cell phones activated.
Does anyone know if there is an airplane mode for the T809?
Perhaps a code that could shut off the cellular part?
Or a way to get into the menu without the sim card in the phone?
Any help is greatly appreciated....

Unique Questions? Please Advise
Ok I like this phone but I think I would love it if some of you gurus can address these concerns.
Can I transfer my entire phone book thats is saved in the phone to SIM at the same time? Sony Ericsson and Motorola has this option.
Can I default my phone numbers in My Contacts to only show the phone numbers in the phone memory? Currently if I have the number in both SIM and phone, it displays the same number twice which is very irritating.
Is there a place where I can receive D820 firmware that I can replace with my T-Mobile firmware so that I can start using this phone to its fullest?
Any help is highly appreciated.

Text storage
Still learning my T809 and can't figure this out.
How do I get the text messages to store to the phone and not the SIM? I can see that it says the phone can store 200 and SIM 30 but can't see how to change it. When the SIM gets full I get no more messages until I empty it.
I tried to see if someone else posted about it but didn't see it. Does anyone know how to do this?
BTW, thanks to those who showed how to make your MP3's your ringtone =) forgot your name but have fun editing songs to my own short tune =)

camera viewfinder
is there anyway to rotate the screen 90 degrees so the full screen viewfinder will actually be correct?
while holding the phone for a portrait view, it takes a horizontal shot, while holding the phone for landscape view, it takes a vertical shot, anyway to change this so it works kinda like sony ericsson phone style?
Deleting Recent Log Numbers

Help! Broken Screen...
I just broke the screen on my T809. Is there anyway I can just get the top sliding portion replaced? The rest of the phone still works fine, some of the screen is still visible, but a large portion has a crack and is blacked out. I don't have insurance on it, and cant really afford a replacement. If there is not anything I can do about the t809, will tmobile be willing to sell me a replacement phone for not the full retail price and without having to resign my contract?

Unbranded Samsung RAZR?
Sure, we can get the branded T-mobile one in the US - but what about a factory unlocked/unbranded version overseas?

Nice, but Disapointing for the money
☹️
After less than a week of use, I had to return the phone. I loved it, but couldn't live with it's shortcomings. A phone in this class without voice dialing is DISAPOINTING. The cumbersome interaction between phone functions of answering/placing a call when using a bluetooth headset is also disapointing.
PROS:
Stunning Design and very good to look at. I loved it!
Stunning Display
Great PC software, although no sync
Great call quality.
Excellent phonebook functions allowing multiple numbers to be stored per contact.
CONS
Poor OEM choice of ringers! I hate music as ringtones!
Poor Bluetooth Interaction
No Voice Dialing
DIFFICULT if not impossible to download mp3 and assign ringtones from the PC. It is using DRM ...
