Motorola RAZR V3i / V3t / V3e / V3r

Anyone using an unlocked V3i with T-Mobile? Any issues or problems? Want to buy this today but want to make sure all the features work, i.e., messenging, web, etc.

Can the v3i play music videos if i put them on the SD card.I have a samsung T-809 and the videos play nice and clear but will they work and play clear on this phone

I was wondering if there is a way to send ringtones attached to an email to your phone. I have T-mobile. I can send an email with a attachment of an mp3 clip less than 300kb in size to myphonenumber@tmomail.net. The email shows up on my phone as a text message with an attachment but I am not sure how to save it to my phone. Does anyone know how to do this. Also what file types does this phone use for ringtones?

This phone is not listed on T-Mobile's web site but these guys are apparently selling it with T-Mobile service.

I was considering buying one "unlocked" and using it with my Cingular Simm card-Could anyone tell me if they'd recommend doing this? and if anyone is using one on Cingular right now do all the features work?

I saw a Cingular ad for this phone in the August 2006 issue of Conde Nast Traveler.

Seems unlikely that Cingular would be spending $$ on advertising if this phone wasn't coming very soon.

Just more food for thought.

I was in the Cingular store (Lancaster, Pa) yesterday and asked about when the v3i might be coming out. The Cingular guy reached in his pocket and handed me his. So I guess it can be bought buy Cingular employees at this point.
He couldn't give me a release date of course, but it can't be long if the reps can get them.
Just thought I'd let you guys know.

a rep at a cingular store told me that the phone was cancelled for cingular and that they had to send all the dummy phones back along with the promotional material...guess its a good idea to buy one unlocked on ebay now!

my Razr V3i can't sent picture msgs at all for some reason. each time i try to send a pic, it takes a while to process and finally ends up saying "Unable to send." I know that the phone has picture texting capability, but i don't know what's wrong. please help! 😢

Well, i am not to happy today, because i went to the military base to buy the v3i cingular branded, and i thought i was only oging to have to pay 379+tax for the phone, because that is what they told me before on TWO occasions....i walk in there and say i want to buy this phone, and they say ok that will be 450+tax..... 😢 you have to be kidding me i said, and my parents jsut walked out.....but i will be going back soon when the guy who told me 379 is there so i can buy it fomr him, and i am considering just upgrading my contract, because then it would only be 250 which aint bad......but expect the worst when it is released people, it is expensive as helllllll 👿 ....

I just recently did a seem for "funlights" on my v3i. Everything went just as the steps at motomodders said, but when the phone restarted, it had erased almost everything off my phone! Now all my menu options are gone and the bottom left soft key says "My Apps", and almost NO menu options at all. Can you help me get back to factory settings for my v3i and go from there? Please get me in touch with one of the flash/mod guru's and get me back on track!!! Thanks so much for any help in advance!!!

Does anyone know if there is a problem that can cause your battery to die in a little less than 1 day, pretty much on standby? The phone seems to work fine, and it charges full, but kills the battery really quick. I tried 3 batteries now and they all do the same thing. Is there a problem in phones that can cause them to work properly but kill batteries too quickly? This one has me really stumped since EVERYTHING else seems to work fine. Thanks in advance for any help!!!!

I'm planning on purchasing this phone in the next couple of weeks. My original plan was to buy it straight from Cingular once it came out. However, while searching through eBay I realized that there are two types of mp3 players on these phones. So here's my dilema:

Every song that I want as a ringtone, I cannot find. My plan was to use iTunes to get my songs on the phone, and then apply them as ringtones. However, I was told that this is not possible.

Should I go with a phone including iTunes or just the Motorola audio player? Or is there a possiblity to include both?

What are the pros and cons?

I was in the mall today and they said that they are expecting it on July 28th. No price list yet. So, let's hope it does come out then 😉

This tutorial is for everyone who bought an unlocked and unbranded Motorola V3i.

Your phone is "Unbranded" meaning it does not have the Cingular flex, like Media Net and all their splash screens and pre-loaded themes, which in my opinion is better.

But it seems everyone expects that their unbranded V3i should be able to access the Media Net home page, it can't unless you flex your phone to Cingular once the flex becomes available.

This does not mean you cannot utilize the internet on your phone, you can. you can even make it browse better than the Media Net flex. Here is how...

what are the skins on the v3i??? on the v3 there is moto, scarlet, and silver but does the v3i have the same ones or something different??? i hope there are new ones...
