Where did you hear this? I've called a couple of places here in Vegas and most of the sales rep aren't even familiar with the model.

yes cingular.com. mainly because of the zipcode thing. they dont want you having a phone with only 1900 mhz umts where there is no 1900mhz umts. price i think will be up around 250ish with a 2 year. there is a 50 dollar mail in as well with activation of unlimited media net. i cant see them selling that phone for the same price as the v3i... listed at 299 on a two year.

thats kinda stupid because i live in detroit and they dont even have 3g up yet and i just want the phone i dont care about that 3g garbage i just want that phone with my new contract

yes i do too. i live in arizona where there is no 3g yet. dont worry, 3g will be in your area soon enough, and im almost sure if you set up your account through telesales, they will ship you out that phone. otherwise, now that cingular does national activations, you can always just say you go to a 3g area alot and need the phone. it is quad band gsm which is way sweet also.
