Aliph Jawbone doesnt work with Moto Q due to modified bluetooth, gee thanks Verizon
Even though Aliph says on their site the jawbone doesnt work with the Q, I wanted to try anyway.
When I purchased it at the verizon store, I asked if they knew any problems with it not working with the Q, they all had blank stares (gee thats nothing new)
The Q and the Jawbone will answer and end a few calls and let me voice command start a new call, but after a few uses, it starts to get buggy.
The Jawbone itself is a super awesome headset.
However, since the Q doesnt work with it, I have to return it. I'll buy a jawbone in 6 months when my new every two option is up and I...

You knew full well that it wouldn't work right going into the sync whether it worked intially or not. 🤨
Why would you even buy the Q knowing that the Q would not support Aliph's bluetooth??
I'm going to upgrade to to the Samsung I760 or the Moto Q9M both work just ducky with the BT Jawbone.
I owned the Q long before the Jawbone was ever released in BT, heck back then the wired version was still new.
I emailed Aliph support and asked if the firmware on the At&t jawbones was different from the
firmware on the Verizon jawbones, it is different.
The Verizon model has "optimized code for CDMA phones" so there is in fact a difference.
They cited an echo when the GSM jawbone was used on a CDMA handset. Thats why they made a revised model with the different firmware.
Whatever you want to call it, the Jawbone works.
