Motorola Q
Aliph Jawbone doesnt work with Moto Q due to modified bluetooth, gee thanks Verizon
Even though Aliph says on their site the jawbone doesnt work with the Q, I wanted to try anyway.
When I purchased it at the verizon store, I asked if they knew any problems with it not working with the Q, they all had blank stares (gee thats nothing new)
The Q and the Jawbone will answer and end a few calls and let me voice command start a new call, but after a few uses, it starts to get buggy.
The Jawbone itself is a super awesome headset.
However, since the Q doesnt work with it, I have to return it. I'll buy a jawbone in 6 months when my new every two option is up and I...

Thank you Moto Q, now rest in peace, Helloooo HTC-5800
I'm going to re-purchase a jawbone again from the verizon store and finally will have a phone the Jawbone works with. Plus I got a nice new phone too. I will miss you Q, you were good while you lasted. Hopefully you can make someone else happy after I post you to ebay and craigslist.
If I had my way I would switch to At&t to get a
Q9H but I am tied into Verizon for a while.
oh well.
I'll miss you motorola Q, sniff sniff, bye bye's.

What am I missing? My ringtones are plenty loud when I get a call, so my speaker appears to be working fine.
Suggestions??
Thanks in advance.

Moto Q vs BB 8830?
The big thing for me is justifying the difference in 1) cost of phone $299 for the 8830; $179 for the Q and 2) cost of data package $39.95 for BB and $24.95 for the Q.
They both seem to handle email, appointments, browsing equally well.
Battery life advantage goes to the 8830.
Additional storage - BB (4GB), Q (2GB)
MP3 ringtones - equal
Bluetooth - BB (v2) Q (v1.2)
Email - have an exchange server and a bb server at work - both of which I have access to
Acticesync wont be a big player for me as I will be moving my lap...

moto q vs bb 8830
i dunno if the bb 8830 is worth the extra $100 since i just dont need the pop email, push is fien by me. but how bad really is the batt life on the Q? i also never had a bb, so im not familiar with their os. and i love the windows os, had the mpx220 and loved it.
anyone else caught inbetween the 8830 and the q like me?
Email Question
I created a ringtone 30secs and 590k. A friend wanted it (she is with att/cingular). So I tried to send it via MMS and it said it was too big to send it that way. So, I emailed it to her (mms.att.net) but she never received it.
Has anyone had this occur?
Here is another problem:
Ok so I get an email that has picture attachements (lets say 3) and I want to forward it. When I forward it...only the first attachment is sent. What is that all about?
Thanks for anyone that can help ...appreciate it!
Bluetooth
*You can listen to your music or the radio through your bluetooth.
Also: When the phone rings it plays the same ringtone that you have set for your phone as opposed to just a jingle.
I don't know if it's only because my bluetooth is also motorola but it works and its very convienient. I used this same bluetooth with and LG phone and this wasn't possible.
Anyway...hope this was helpful or at least interesting!
