Screen in bright daylight
This phone seems like a great buy. However one of the reason I want to get a new phone is because my current one is impossible to read outside. How good is the display on this phone in bright sun?
...
I just got it today, and although I was outside with it for a couple minutes using it - I honestly did not even notice any problems - The screen is truly amazing.

I did notice today that it did wash out a bit in direct sunlight, but that may just be because the font is so small. But it is still a very nice display.

Thanks for your input. The reason I am asking this question is that my current phone (a SE T610) is not readable at all outside even when I have my back to the sun. The Motorola Razr is better but still washed out, however I can read my contacts phone numbers.

The T610 had a CSTN LCD screen, and the SDA has a transflective TFT LCD screen. There's a world of difference.
But if you like your T610, you can buy a T637 - it has the new TFT LCD and is much much better to read in sunlight and you can see the time without pressing a key to light it up.

Yes, it does wash out in direct sunlight. Turn your back and shield the screen, this will solve 1/2 of the issue.
I have not seen a screen yet that does not wash out in direct sunlight, even note book monitors.
This is the major issue we must live with for the time being when we come out into the light.

My Nokia 3220 seems to be very good in sunlight. Much, much better than a razer my brother owns.
