HTC SDA (USA) / SP5m (Tornado)

has anyone tried this on a US sda? if this screws up the phone is there a way to reload the phone to factory defaults?

My internet was up and running, then suddenly failed. I was told this is an issue with the SDA. Here's the fix ...

Start >> Settings >> Connections >> GPRS >> Edit >> Access point

Here, try internet2.voicestream.com instead of wap.voicestream.com.

Can someone post the T-Mobile MMS settings for this phone? I assume that it is in Messaging / MMS / menu-->options / 4: account options / 2: MMS / menu-->MMSC Settings and then hit menu--->Edit on whichever one has the green checkmark next to it.

Has anyone got the voice tag/dialing working? My experiance is that it randomly works. even after it finds the number by the voice tag it seams to not have any number to dial. on my bluetooth headset jabra BT200 I press the button on the headset speak the name.. the name is repeated over the BT headset.. then the call is on the handset.. did microsoft release WM5.0 to soon or did T-mobile screw up the software?

Is Cingular going to have this phone? If not could I use an unlocked sda on cingular? I have never done that

I have a friend who can sync his nokia phone with his laptop and transfer movies onto his phone to watch, will this phone do that? Also, I have a Mac, any information on syncing with Macs?

I am in NYC and can't seem to get Edge on my SDA. Am I supposed to do something?

Does this phone have an airplane mode for working or at least listening to music on flights?

Does this thing sync with ACT? Anyone have any luck?

I still like the phone, but after some use there are things that annoy me.

1. First, I often pull the phone out of my pocket to find the browser and/or the media player open. The buttons obviously get easily pushed and I can't figure out how to lock the keypad.

2. Unless I'm missing something, the Speed Dial ain't speedy. With the Moto, I'd just hold down, say, number 2 to dial that person. On the SDA, it's 2, #, then wait a second or two to OK the confirmation screen.

Those are the ones I can think of immediately, but I'll add more as they come to mind ... 🙂

This thing has the worst manual in history. Can anyone tell me how to lock the keypad?
