no internet service on Cingular system?!
I was just about to buy the phone when I was told that the phone will not be able to access the internet and receive emails when connected via the Cingular system. I was told the reason is b/c this pda phone does not support the "edge" technology. Is this really true? Is there any way around this? Any Cingular experts out there who can tell me otherwise? Please....

It supposrts GPRS so it should work, its just going to be a pain to get the right settings programmed into it to make it work.

did you ever get the setting to get email or get on the web if so please send them to me need help so bad tryed everything for a month now and the people at the cingular are like moron in the they hurt me more then help me thanks so much

You can certainly make it work with Cingular data, you just need to manually enter all the connection settings. I have an A780, the predecessor to this phone, and it works just fine on the Cingular data network.
