MOTOROLA A1200 PROBLEM: "CALL CONTROL ALLOWED"
Hello all,
I am searching the world for for your help.
I just bought the A1200 lesser than 24 hours. After complete all the set up the phone LOOKS like working great. Until 24 hours later, a problem becomes problems. May I kindly ask for your help if you know. Please and thank you kindly in advance for your knowledge and time.
(1) When im making a dial out call a pop up box comes up and says "Call Control Allowed". I went through the manual twice with no luck showing how to fix this problem. I still can make the outbound call, however, I always MUST confirm by taping on OK button when MING prompts this message.
(2) Bigger problem. I NEVER OR UNABLE TO RECEIVE any INCOMING CALLS regardless the callers is using landline or wireless...

Hey try this to see if it helps... go to setup menu.. click on it then go to security menu and turn off your call barring on both incoming and outgoing..

I also purchased this phone and for the first couple of weeks it worked perfectly. Now I'm experiencing similar problems in that incoming calls from certain numbers will never ring on my phone.
I've also got the "call control" message poping up, but if you just ignore it, it will dial the call anyway.
Did you ever get an answer to the problem of incoming calls not ringing through?

Hey guys I had the same problem. In case you never found a solution it was name caller ID. You have to call Fido or whoever your provider is and tell them to remove the name call ID. It fixed my problem right away!
