synching to Outlook
How well does the Nokia software synch to MS Outlook? I am looking for a new phone and one of the major requirements for me is to get one that I can synch my calendar and contacts to Outlook. How does this compare to the Sony/Ericson 520 and Moto V3i software?

Nokias have been loyal companions. Motorolas, though sexy, do not do the trick in the long run. I always end up back with a Nokia. I cannot speak to Sony/Ericson products.
I have not tried synching over the phone network or infrared. I presume you will be trying to synch a potential phone via cable. You will need to purchase a cable ~$30.
