Nokia 6103 / 6102i

I just had the internet reactivated on my 6102. I've had it for a year now but never had the internet on it. Since I've gotten home and been on aim on my home computer, my phone keeps alerting me that I have "new item instant messaging", and when I go to read them the im client sign on screen comes up.
I don't have any information entered in any of them. I tried turning my phone off and back on and then I just got the two alerts I had missed

I swear, it's about to drive me crazy because it won't let me silence my phantom im alerts either.

When I want to download a ringtone to my mobile, the site gives me a web address and access code. I can get to the web page and enter the access code - but how do I send/submit the form ?

I have this phone on my family plan but would like to wipe it out. What are some *# codes for this phone? I'd like to see the firmware, and possibly update it. Also it would be great to format it.

my uncle bought this set nokia 6102i in united states and according to him, he asked the person from where he bought the set to give him a set that would work fine in pakistan... When i opened up this site and read the specs... i found that it would work fine in gsm900 mode... anyways tried my sim in it, and the cell was locked so i had to pay to unlock it.. now that it's unlocked, it doesn't recieve any signals...
Now i don't know wat to do with it...Please lemme know how to fix it and if fixing is not possible then plz atleast tell me the problem with it.

Would the 6102i from Cingular work in Israel? If so, would it roam with Orange (IL).

Is there a way to switch frequencies so it would work in Europe as well? It's been a while since I used a Nokia, so does the old *3001+12345# still work to change frequencies?

Hi there, I have a TMobile Nokia 6103. I want to put a small song clip onto the phone (MP3 format), as a ringtone. Somebody said that you can transfer an MP3 to the phone via Bluetooth. How do I do that?

I've noticed a couple programmed problems with my new Nokia 6102i.

Anyone else out there have some answers to help???

1. When my flip is closed, and I want to NOT answer a call, I can hit the VOLUME DOWN button to silence the ringer, but can not send the caller immediately to voice mail (ie: when the flip is open, I can silence the ringer using the RIGHT soft key, then hit the same key again to send the caller immediately to VM). Is there a way to do this with the flip closed?

2. With the flip closed, I use the VOLUME DOWN button to (hopefully) decrease the ringer volume. Even if I turn it all the way down, that does nothing to my ringer volume. It only decreases my ear volume! Everyone else find this to be true. How do ya turn down...

1. Does the phone have to be open to voice dial?
2. Can you voice dial through the blue tooth headset without doing anything to the phone first? Seems illogical to have to get out the phone and mess with it to voice dial with BT

I would like to use this phone as a bluetooth modem for my PDA and/or laptop computer. How hard is it to setup this phone to bluetooth the internet to my PDA or phone?

Can anyone suggest the best BT ear piece to get, I have noticed some to be motorola and so on, which one fits the ear the best and I have small ears. which works best with the 6102i Also can you listen to the fm radio wearing your BT or R u only able to with the plug in headset? will it work either way? Thanks Brandy

Had this phone 3 days. STILL trying to figure out the QUICKEST (least steps/keystoke) method to switch to speaker phone after I answer? I can't take my eyes off the road to scroll through a host of menu's and can't seem to discover any shortcuts to get onto the speaker phone as soon as I answer. Any experts out there who may help?

i feel kind of dumb asking this, but do any of you know how to use the radio without having to buy those nokia earbud things? I heard you can listen to it through the speaker or something? Please respond, I will greatly appreciate it.

IS anyone else having problems with the screen getting a "imprint" or a "scratch" that is shaped like the d-pad? Any ideas how to fix this?

Can someone tell me how to get the vibration feature to work. My vibration is set to "on" but it only flashes when it rings.

Can you record part of a song w/ the recorder and set it as a ring tone?
