Sony Ericsson W810

OK nothing big, but the phone comes with 3D bowling. But you only get three frames. When I go to buy the full version, it says the phone is not capable. Any way around this?

Just debranded my phone using wotanserver.com, it's the best thing you can do to your W810i if you have a cingular branded phone. The one thing that made the most difference is the web key on my cingular phone became a short cut key that you can customize to like I think five different things that you do most. It makes turning on blue-tooth very simple. So no more accidentally hitting the web key and pay to be on the Internet. I don't have a Internet plan so last month I spent over 35 dollars for accidents. Like all other threads about debranding you can use whole songs as ringtones and all that other stuff.

I'm trying my second Sony Ericsson Bluetooth headset in the past month. The first one, a HBH-610a sounded great but hurt to wear after one hour of use. I followed up with the HBH-GV435 which is soooo comfortable but doesn't sound as good as the first. I'm thinking of sending it back and buying the Plantronics Voyager 510 because of all the good things I've read about it. What about your Bluetooth headset experience with the W810. What should I look into and/or what should I avoid? BTW - I use prescription glasses out of necessity all day. Thanks for any advise you could give me.

To all who don't know how to fix the low volume issue. It can be fixed, my W810 earpiece volume went up by about 100%, by downloading new accoustic drivers to the phone. For more info go to howardforums.com

It just came to me that I remember thinking that the SE W810 is capable of displaying album art while in the Walkman mode. Or am I confusing myself with what I've read of higher end SE models? If it can display the album art, how do we go about setting it up to do so?

The default video length is about one minute which is annoying. Anyone know how to set it longer or to unlimited? Thanks.

Q: If I get this phone debranded from wotanserver or davinci, does that mean its unlocked also - so I can use it with any carrier?

This might be a dumb question, but I have really been puzzled how to fast forward/backward when playing mp3 files. On the nevigate key, when I press any of the four directions (, up, down), I only get to the next (or previous) songs on the playlist. How can I make the key work? Are there other ways to navigate within a single MP3 file?

Also, can you bookmark a place in the MP3 file so you can get back to the exact position next time?

I was wondering if anybody has debranded their phone but lost their stored content after the procedure. I casually searched along this theme but I didn't see anybody report on this. Also, I'd like your folks' recommendation on why you chose your website to handle the debranding. What made you choose Davinci over Wotanserver and vice versa.

Hello... I was thinking about joining Cingular/ATTT and I believe I found the right phone for me. The Sony Ericsson W810 looks like the perfect fit for me because of the fantastic battery life, FM radio/MP3 for when I work (Which is always outdoor) and for the gym and from what it seems like good reception. Now my question is, I read on Cigular's website that this phone has advanced XHTML web browsing, what the hell does that mean? I have an unbranded Cingular W810 with America1 firmware.
Am I just completely missing it...but is there a Calulator on this thing, and if so, where? Seems like one of the most basic utilities but I cannot find it. Any help appreciated. Thx

I've never owned a candybar-style phone before and am just curious about how it can differ from a flip phone. With a flip, I just close the phone up, and don't really have to worry about the small buttons on the side of the phone being pressed.

How easy is it to lock and unlock the keypad on this particular phone?

Other than locking the phone, is there a way to block the command associated with the MEdia Net key to start an Internet session? I could have sworn I saw something in the menus that accomplishes this. Has anybody seen this too or am I just dreaming?

Is there a way to create multiple bookmarks in various mp3 files to later pick up exactly where I left from and continue on? I listen to 1+ hr long files such as audio books and it is a major pain to find where I was.
On a related issue, scrolling through the mp3 file is also very slow. For 2-3 minute music files it might be just fine but try going to the middle of a 1 hr file and it takes forever. Is there a faster way of scrolling through the length of a single file?

Just wondering if this phone is really worth all the hype? Is the signal really that good? Then regarding the earpiece volume while talking to someone, is it really that low? Any insite would be greatly appriciated.... Also, is there another phone that is coming out (or already out) that is better then this one??
