flip button
For those of you who already have this phone, how is the flip button?
Can you open the phone without using it, or is it locked shut until you press the button?
Does the phone flip open in your pocket/bag when the button is accidentally pressed?
...
yes you can open it without using the button. No I have not had it open up in my pocket by accident yet.
...
So is the button a spring-release type or more of a mechanical/lever type of movement?
...
Its more of a spring release. Still pretty smooth, but I don't use it all the time. I think it's nice to have it you need it to open your phone with one hand but I still prefer using two hands.

It's not something that would get pressed easily by mistake. It takes a little pressure to use but is a nice little feature.
The phone overall is nice.

Good to hear. Thanks.
Now it's just a matter of seeing how fast they can release it here. I've been in need of a new phone for a while now and I need to decide soon. Hopefully I can get this one.

Look for it in July or August. There are some versions on ebay coming out of Asia but those are always suspect and many people get burned.

I got mine from ebay....I had to return one, but the new one i got works great. Despite what people hear those phones are covered by a Nokia warranty

I think I got a much better idea of how it works now. Thanks for the info! 🙂

the flip button seems cool but why is it necessary? i've always had flip phones and i've used one hand to open it. i just flick it with my thumb and hold the phone in my palm...
