Release date.... for T-Mobile!

Just wondering, does T-Mobile have lower phone testing standards than Cingular? It seems odd that they would approve the phone for release and Cingular was constantly asking Nokia to fix issues with the phone to the point where they just canceled the phone.
Well, based on everything I've read I'm not a fan of T-Mobile but I'm hoping the release of this phone will allow for more availability of unlocked versions that I could purchase and sign up with Cingular.

Well, that being said I'm wondering why Cingular was so anal retentive in the testing of this phone so much so that they decided to cancel the phone when it wouldn't pass muster. I guess it remains to be seen if this phone is truly plagued with a lot of techie issues once it is released by T-Mobile.
I don't think Cingular tests any better than any other carrier. They've released some phones with some really glaring software issues.

Guess the date is truly October; calls I've made to local TMobile stores are the typical "haven't heard a thing about any new Nokias".
Does anyone know how long after the phone releases with TMobile unlocked versions will become available?
