Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133

Is their a way to turn on the timer during a call? I have just bought this phone (Nokia 6126) with at&t and i was just wondering if I could do that?

ahhh it's sooo frustrating...i wanna send a pic to somebody or to my email account and it just shuts off.....can anybody tell me why...or help me out..... 👿 🤨

can you adjust the brightness of the screen? I looked it up on the manual but i couldn't find it.

Based on the latest news release on the home page I'm thinking maybe this much desired phone is the parent to the upcoming 6085 which again seems like the same phone with upgrades (stereo Bluetooth for example). Is it possible Cingular was aware of the coming of this phone thus their reason for passing on the 6126?

The whole hardware issue may have just been a convenient explanation for Cingular's cancellation of the 6126 from what I hear. My initial thoughts are that the 6085 looks a bit plain and it may not show up in US markets until 1st or 2nd quarter of '07 ☹️ ...

I'm making myself crazy trying to find a way to adjust the ringer volume. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! Any suggestions?

I have registered here to ask all of you about the open and close sounds that I've wanted to customize to the Star Trek Communicator sounds. However I have not been able to find any setting in the use tone field that allows you to set a sound to the phones open and close. If anyone could help me this would be much appricieated. I also found that someone on youtube had posted video of a 6131 which had the grey theme so it might have something to do with making a theme.

i have a Nokia 6131. i was wondering if there is any way to update the firmware so that it can use TMobile's My Faves properly. (with the 5 people's pictures rotating)

basically update it to the same firmware as the 6133?

I was looking at getting an unlocked Nokia 6133 but was wondering if I can set it to use mMode. Does anyone know? I had a Razr previously and there were settings I changed in order to make it work; can I do the same thing w/ a 6133?

Anyone have any good suggestions for cleaning this phone? I understand that special care needs to be taken with the inner screen particularly thus I don't want to use just any type of household cleaner on it but I do need to be able to clean it somehow. Have heard of a product called Displex but the quantity sold is so small and I would have to purchase online as no land retail stores seem to see the product.

how do i get around the t-mobile blockade of using my own mp3 ringtones. i know there is a way, just not sure how. i know u guys know for sure. so help me out. please. any info will be appreciated

OK, so I just upgraded from a Motorola Rzr to the Nokia 6133. For the most part I really like it. However, I am pretty frustrated by the poor battery life. I need to charge it every 2-3 days or so and that's barely using it. The Rzr could make it 4-5 days. So, I've disabled pretty much everything I can think of that would drain battery power. The only thing I can't figure out how to disable or get rid of, is the digital clock screen saver on the external display. I would just rather have my wallpaper and a fixed clock and a way to have a quick look a it - rather than having to open it up.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I tried copying my favorite mp3 ringtones to my phone and it doesnt work. i tried all the methods of converting them to wma and it didnt work, is there a spec i whould convert the mp3 to wma? i am using the free mp3 to wma program. I tried converting to aac and it sdidnt work either. my phone is stock and has not been unlocked. please me, i cant stand those boring oem ringtones,, its just annoying!

Are the font sizes on the external and the internal screens of the 6126 "appropriate?" (I have a LG CU 400 that has small fonts)Is it possibile to adjust the font sizes? Thanks!

The camera goes into standby and locks up. I found taking the battery out fixes it but that is stupid if it is the only way to fix it. Does anybody know how to avois it?

I'm looking for a cradle/charger that allows me to dock my 6126 for a charge as well as synching to my PC. I have not been able to find anything. If you aware of a product, please point me in the right direction.

I have my phone flashed by Evan at Iunlock.com. He flashed the firmware to the 6131. It now can play mp3s as ringtones without conversion (with the DRM removed), OM, GM work and best of all no branding. I can use t-zones just fine and MMS works like a charm. I should have never got rid of my 6131, but now I have it back, as the 6133, no "b."

I usually never have an issue with figuring out how to change silent mode to vibrate, but I just got the 6133, and I can't figure out how to switch the silent mode to vibrate, and how to activate the vibrate in regular call mode... When I switch the vibrate option from 'off' to 'on', and save, there is still no vibrate when I get a call. Anyone know how to fix this?

Now that the phone has been out (I even heard that it is discontinued) how does everyone like it? Would you buy another one?

I am debating on the Nokia 6126, LG CU 500, or the Motorola V557 cell phone. I know the V557 is out of date but I hear it is durable! I need a cell phone that I can feel vibrate with no other sound. Is the Nokia 6126 capable of this?

How is the internal screen holding up? Do the keypad numbers scratch it over time?

I use the calendar extensively.
The blue sky background when view the month doesn't provide much contrast & I can't really tell which day of the month is highlited.

Do you know how to change the background for the calendar monthly view??
