....... and I love it so far! It's the best phone I've had since my Nokia 6255i w/ Alltel back in 2005 (not counting the PDA/Smartphones I've had, and still have). I'll post a review soon, as one day may be too soon to post it.

Do these features take up mintues or data?

Does the W300i have voice dial or not?!? I read somewhere that the original w300 does not, but the newer w300i does have it. I need to know for sure. I need it to have voice activated dialing or it's useless to me. Thanks in advance.

I can't decide if the W300i is better than the W810i....anyone have any input???? Does the W300i have flight mode???

Does anyone know how or where AIM Express/Mobile or Remote can be installed or downloaded? I bought this phone unlocked---- and I dont see anywhere on Cingular or AIM that you can download or install AIM-------- My SLVR7 had it pre-installed

Is there an adapter, included or not, that will let me use my ordinary wired headset(s)? (PS: bluetooth to wired would defeat the purpose.)

I just bought the Sony Ericsson w300i.
Great phone. I just could not understand how they could sell the phone but the memory stick micro that is need to use the mp3 player was not available even on the Sony website. After much time searching the web, I found out that Best Buy has them in stock now. They do not have them online, but the website, bestbuy.com can tell you which stores have them in stock. I bought mine in Union NJ. No one knew what memory stick I was talking about so we spent much time looking at all the shelves. Finally found one person who realized they were still in the backroom because they did not know where to put it! I bought the 1G. where the hell is it?

In order to listen to the FM radio and talk on the phone, what headphone do I need????

I was just getting ready to order this phone - Sony W300i through Cingular as a new phone for my daughter and noticed under the "included accessories" area that it did not list either a travel charger nor a home based charger. I called twice to customer service and 1 person told me that of course it would come with a charger 🙄 and then another person said "no" it does not come with one and that I would have to purchase it separately.

Has anyone bought this phone from Cingular off their website and if so, did it or did it not come with one of these 2 types of charges?

Does anyone know if Cingular is offering the white version of this phone at all? If not, is any third party source offering it with cingular service??

I stumbled upon this the other day. Go to wap.sonyericcson.com, select applications, select and download Facewarp. It is free, but you do have to pay Cingular's downloading cost if you aren't on a media plan. If I didn't give the right path, go to sonyericcson.com website and look for downloads-applications for instructions. You may also need to check for phone compatability.

Now take pictures of other people, even works on animals, and let the fun begin. I tried this at school with my elementary students (K-5th graders) and we had hours of fun laughing at each other!! Even the other teachers did it it and we had tears from laughing so hard!

Im guessing since its a walkman it does but i wanna check because when i had my PSP ATRAC3 let me almost double my memory because of the compression but it still sounded good.

I was wondering what the cost per use of the MusicID function was.

I use a w600i. I type in #id and it costs me 99 cents every time I use it.

The w300i seems to have a program built into it to identify tracks. Is it the same cost using it this way, or is there a per-month charge? I'm sure it isn't free, otherwise there'd be no use to include it.

I'm considering buying this phone but I noticed that on the cingular site it doesn't say anything on the accessories page about a memory stick being included. It just says that it has 20mb of memory- enough for about 4 songs. Has anyone bought it from cingular and does it come with an actualy memory card?

Anyone come across a maximum ringtone file size for their W300?

I created a MP3 ringtone that is 733K. It works fine on my W600. On my W300 I can do a "Use As" an Alarm Sound or Message Alert but can't use it as a Ringtone or Contact Ringtone.

I have created other ringtones that work just fine on my W300 but they are typically around 200-300K.

I just picked up this phone today and I haven't been able to find anyone selling the memory cards for it. I have found a couple of places online but most of them are all UK sellers. Does anyone know of a retail store in the states that is selling the memory cards? I am also looking for the USB cable. I heard of a few people saying it came with it but the packaging at Best Buy doesn't come with it. Any ideas. The Sony Style store here in Seattle doesn't even have them.

I got the SE Z525a and really liked the phone but had to send it back because it dropped so many calls. Anyone have any problems with the W300? And how is the W300i (Cing.) different?
