From the specs listed on here, it looks like you cannot send a pix msg with this phone. Is that correct?

that is absolutely incorrect. This phone can do just about everything that a highend phone can do. You can send pix messages and video messages. you can even send ringtones as pix messages to your vx8300, in the mp3 format. To send a pix message from your email to your phone, send to: your10digitmobilenumber@vzwpix.com. You can send the mp3 ringtone to your phone this same way.
