MP3 player help!!!
i just got the 8300 and before i start using my own microsd card for music i tried to use my sisters 512MB micro sd. when i put the card in my phonethe pictures from her card would show up, but none of hwer mp3's would show up. in other words how do i get the mp3 player to work when it gives me the message "PHONE ERROR" or "NO FILES FOUND". if anyone can help me with this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

probably easy fix.
Depending on her phone, the 8300 is set up only to read WMA files not mp3s, but you can make it mp3 capable.
Hit the OK button to go to the menu
then hit 0
and the code is six 0's
now you are in the programing of the phone, dont mess with to much here or you can screw the phone up. but on the bottom of that list is MP3 setting, you can enable the phone to accept mp3s here.
Now to actually get them to play, you have to go to get it now and go to tunes and tones, instead of my music, on the bottom there is now mp3. Try that.

while i have not tried to access the songs through tunes and tones i did try the whole six 0 thing and i i did enable the mp3s but how can i access my songs through the outside 3 buttons

To activate the 3 outside buttons..go to menu/tools/phone settings/shortcutkey/play key. select mp3. This will set the front buttons tp play mp3.
...
Once the outside buttons are enabled, hold the play/pause button in until your player starts up. Walah!

i fOLLOWED YOUR INSTRUCTIONS BUT IN THE DISPLAY IT SAYS "NO SONGS FOUND IN MEMORY" I ALREADY RECORDERED SEVERAL SONGS IN MP3 FORMAT.
...
Because of the silly Verizon music service they by default only allow wma files to play on the phone, so Mp3's will not be recognized. To turn on Mp3 abilities you must press menu, 0, 000000, and go to number 11 Music Setting and choose Mp3 Enable.
...
When I try to select 11-Music settings, it says "Not Available". Any other ideas?
