Follow on to the 8300?

Just wondering if there was any word on a follow up phone to the 8300. I know the chocolate and the 8600 slim phone are very popular, so I'm just curious if they are going to make another regular flip phone.

Thanks

Actually the 8600 is a follow-up to the 8300, not an addition to the "Chocolate family" as most assume.

what! Thats not true...the 8600 is part of the chocolate family. It is not an update to the 8300. I thought the LG 9400 was the update, but then I heard they were having lots of problems with the phone, so the release got pushed back.

Agree. The 8600 is not a follow-up for the 8300. Not everyone likes the chocolate-style touch buttons, and no loud stereo speakers, and other style-minded features which takes a toll on comfortability.

I would really like to see a (8400?) or (8350) the same as the 8300, with a few improvements on them, like the high-resolution front LCD (as the 8600) and be able to read txt msgs, better backlit keys (evenly, not one key is bright and the other one dim), up to a 2 mp camera and 30 fps video (mpg format please), Voice mode for txt msgs (is it a Samsung exclusive?), more intuitive options and settings, and more....

Yeah I agree...Those would be some great features. Another feature that no phone has that I know of is a movie mode...a mode where the backlit could dimmed so that you could text or look at your phone while at a movie w/o looking like a dork and having your phone light up the whole audience.
