Powering off - 8300 version
Ok, I'm not sure what the deal is, but I'm having the same problem with this phone as I had with the VX-4600. The phone would not connect a call about 30% of the time and would power off randomly.
Today I went to the store to exchange my 8300 for something else, but the warranty coverage only allows you to get the same model of phone. The first (yes, first) replacement phone they gave me started doing the same thing while the rep was holding it, I was yet to touch the phone...it also indicated the battery had one bar of power even though it charged all night.
The second phone didn't power off and indicated a full charge while she was holding it, however I've already had it turn off once and have had problems calling out in the three ho...

If you have had the phone for 15 days or less, VZW will take the phone back no questions asked and give you a full refund or let you exchange it for a different phone. I have done this after 14 days, exchanging the Casio GzOne for the LG VX8600 and a $200 dollar refund, since the Casio was that much more than the LG. If it has been more that 15 days since your purchase, there is nothing to do but absorb the loss, if you cannot get them to give you a 8300 that works okay.

I've had the original phone since June. Not really good service on VZ's part to have what are obviously defective phones (which the rep in the store even experienced) and force their customers to suck it up and deal with it.

Can you tell me why you returned the GZone?
I think its an awesome looking phone but I have seen very little input into how good a phone it is for the massive price they want. Right now I'm going toward the VX8300 to replace my 6100 when my NE2 comes due in march, but that cool looking GZone has my attention 🙂

Verizon told my brother that the NE2 $100 credit going away in Feb or March unless you have a $79.99 plan or higher.
Less than that plan's you will only recieve $50 credit for NE2.
You might want to ask @ your local Verizon store.
Greg.
