Reviews - Please!
Can new owners please place reviews - I'm dying to hear all about this phone, and wanting to buy it this weekend but need to know about the reception and general feel. Help a fellow phone-freak out.

When will this puppy be available for other vendors.
I have lost 4 pones while fishing. This is getting expensive and I hate wasting money on phones when I could be adding to my fishing arsenal. Anyway I am under contract to Alltel for another 2 years and Verizon doesn't cover where I live (near the Mobile Al. Delta). Does anyone know if this pone can be set to work with alltel network? thnx

They tripled the price for half the features?
I read this on Gizmodo.com, a reply to review there:
"This phone was smoking hot last year in Japan. More than a year later they bring to America and what fell out in transit?
- Web Browser
- Email
- GPS
- Compass
- Only comes in Nondescript Gray. (No black, red, green, orange...)
Oh, and it costs about $200 more for some reason...
I'm glad to see phones make a quicker transition from Japan and Korea, but this one has way too much lost in translation."
And it made me wonder. Why on earth is this phone $299? Plastic, even the shock-resistant kind, doesn't cost much. Seems like some gouging by Verizon.
And also, I am not going to get into the debate about Verizon absolutely crippling their phones, but why would they get rid...

price gouging
verizon is just trying to recoup some lost profits from people who won't have to replace broken phones.
😈
the only noteworthy technological feature of this phone is the 2 megapixel camera, but they would've done worlds better if they kept bluetooth. That was a bad decision.
They already have the 2nd Gen. of this phone in Japan, though, so if this one does well, maybe we will get lucky with that one.
The "bumper" ... can it be removed?
Was just wondering if anyone knew if the shock guard "bumper" device can be removed.
Still looking for hands-on information on this phone to determine if it's a good purchase or not.

2.0 MP Camera?
So the G'zOne (Gee Zee One) has a 2.0MP camera, but.... no expandable memory?? It will be interesting to see how many of those pictures can actually be saved without killing the phone.
Tokyo Drift Phone
This is the phone used by Twinkie in Tokyo Drift. Its pretty cool we finally get some high-tech looking stuff but because its Verizon it will be crippled like Tiny Tim.
so when i store?
checked a couple of stores this morning in the atlanta area and they don't have them or know when..
so.. when?
I cant stop laughing!!!
This is the ugliest, funniest looking thing i have ever seen! I could not imagine anyone spending one penny on this phone. Seriously, it looks like it has a bumper and it a foot long! Come on, bring on the Shine and lets see something worth looking at.

no bluetooth
another major bummer. i have a friend in construction who would LOVE this phone for its durability, but he has to have bluetooth so he can talk handsfree. too bad.

THIS PHONE IS PERFECT!!!!
Ima surfer and this phone is gonna be great for me!
the color sucks
I am really disappointed that this phone is neither red, green, or black. The original one looked so cool, and I was so stoked when I heard it was coming to verizon.
However, the gray takes away all the cool factor, and now it just looks like a bland, massive, dorky phone.
I thought Gunny would be the first one in here...

On the Specs it says Video Calling
Is it true this phone is capable of video calling or is it a mistake.

Did LG display the VX9900 or talk about possible launch date?
