Price going down already?
Does this mean anything that Verizon already took the price down from $50 to $30? I know there were some negative reviews about the voice quality, but it didn't seem bad enough to reduce price this early.

Not sure, but I called Verizon asking about the retail price since I am not eligible for an upgrade yet and they told me it was $169 with a $50 mail in rebate.

VZW offers a buy-1-get-3-free promotion each month. This month's promo happens to feature Samsung's new a870. Not sure that this indicates they're trying to unload them due to problems/negative feedback. The handsets to be cautious of are the ones their website and corporate stores are offering for free after $60-$70-$80 instant rebates.
