Just a quick question it really hasn't been said can you get or make your own ringers for this phone without purchasing them through GIN? I know you can on the moto v3c but now with the memory card I'm curious has it changed the whole send in a pix message deal? Thanks in advance!

Been VERY disappointed with my battery life, it's been maintaining a charge for less than 24 hours. Found out why last night.

Turns out since I get virtually no Verizon signal at my home, it just hunts and hunts all night for a better signal, sapping the battery.

Verizon tech advised me to power down when I know I won't have a signal for an extended period of time (like overnight). Because I don't get a signal, I don't use the phone at home anyway, so it's no biggie.

I've posted a ferw times about the astoundingly poor battery life. With a full charge, I use the phone - literally - maybe 15 minutes a day, without Bluetooth. The next morning, the battery is dead.

This morning, I get an error message, "Unable to Charge." Moto rep advises me to go back to the point of purchase (Verizon store), it's either a defective battery or a defective phone.

My question for this group is, has anyone had this issue, and waich was it, a defective battery or a defective phone? I don't want to go back twice....

Has anyone seen the size of the extended life battery? How much bigger does it make the phone? I bought the phone because of the small size, but was thinking about getting the bigger battery. Just wanted to see if makes it too big. Thanks

i read on this site somewhere that when you call someone, if you store multiple numbers for that person, it won't tell you which one you are calling. is that true?

does picture ID show up on the outer screen for incoming calls, even though you cant change the outer screen?

can you set the voice notes you record to be your ringtone?

does it have a strong vibrate?

i've heard you can't change the outer screen. does that mean that if you have picture ID, the person's pic won't show up on the outer screen, so you have to open it to see who's calling?

and you can at least change the inside screen to one of your pictures, right?

what kind of photo options does it have? zoom? flash? picture effects, like sepia, black and white, etc.? self-shot, where it shows up on the outside screen?

i'm spoiled with my audiovox cdm-9900, which is an amazing phone with a lot of features, but its just too big and bulky. plus, i've had it for 3 years. it's time for a change.

And so far from research I only see the difference between the 2 are the memory card slot and MP3 player??

What is the vibrate function on this phone?
I understand it doesn't vibrate and ring at the same time, but does it vibrate then ring? How strong is the vibrate? Also, if you hack it to change the vibrate mode (or to change anything for that matter), doesn't that void the warranty?

Does the alarm have the option of going off Mon - Friday but not weekends? My LG 7000 does that and I really like it.

Ok, here's the deal....when using a Bluetooth headset, I can initiate calls just fine and hear the other party great and they can hear me great. Problem is, when someone calls, the headset won't beep, but it's still connected because I can press the button and hear the person, but they cannot hear my voice coming through. I have to then disconnect and use the phone for them to hear me. AND it's definately not the headset, because I have several and they have all done this! Also, I have exchanged the phone and it still does it. I even tried my sister's V3m and same thing. Is there a setting I don't have right or am I missing something, because this is a huge issue, yet I haven't heard anyone complain about it on here. If anyone has an ...

I just switched to Verizon but got the Samsung A930. Good phone but with some issues, particularly battery strength and some quirks w/text messaging. Volume for talk is excellent, though.

I am considering switching to the V3m with extended battery, but was wondering how the volume is for talk? I have had a T-Mobile RAZR V3 which I generally liked, but sometimes the volume was a little low (even at the highest level), particularly outside on the noisy streets of New York.

I have successfully been able to sync my VcM w/my PC but as of lately, everytime I try to sync it, it just resets my phone (it turns off and on). I am totally new to this so would anyone please help!?!??!

While reading other forums to get my verizon music kit to work i came upon this and it works perfectly

If a customer is having difficulties syncing music after installing the Music Essentials Kit (ex. Sync Failure, Device not recognized, etc.), the following steps explain how to correct this issue.

Have the customer install the drivers that come with the disk.
Have the customer turn off the phone off and then plug it in to their USB port.
Go to Device Manager (on the customer's computer) and make sure under Modems it says Motorola USB Modem (it may have a number after it).
Leave the phone off.
Go to
When the Window pops you will get the options: Open, Save, Cancel, or More Info. Choose Open.

Hi Does anyone know how to disable the voicemail warning/reminder beep on the razr verizon?

I know I can buy stereo headphones from Verizon that will fit in the 2.5 jack, but is there an adapter that will let me use normal headphones wiht my RAZR? I have really nice headphones, and it would be a waste of money to have around another pair if I could use the same ones.

Does anyone know how to delete the goofy locked verizion pics. Thanks in advance.

Ive had my RAZR for about 2 months now, and ive been pretty pleased with it. Today after the battery died i started charging it and the screen became all jacked up. Everything became light and blurry and shifed, like its broken or something. I havent dropped it or done anything that could cause this to happen. Has anyone had this happen to them, or do i just have a bad phone? Any feed back would be a BIG help! thanks!

I just purchased the V3m from Verizon. I'm trying to set up MPT to use with it, but I haven't been successfully. I'm getting ready to lose it and start throwing stuff if I can't get it figured out. Here's the steps I did:

1. Installed MPT 3.23 (phone disconnected).
2. Auto update installed 3.25b (phone still disconnected).
3. Restarted PC as requested by install.
4. Connected phone with USB cable.
5. Ran the Driver Tool that Motorola recommends from BVRP. It seems to change the driver in the system settings as I get several chirps from the connected phone.
6. MPT still doesn't recognize the phone.

I'm going crazy. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks.

One of the features I liked about the V710 was the fact I could use MP3's as Ringtones. The v3m won't allow me to use the WMA files. Is this correct? Or can I use the WMA files as ringtones? If I can't use the WMA files then what new phone will allow it?
