Motorola RAZR V3m

Are numbers like: *86, *611, #MIN, #BAL in network or are they part of of Peak mins.

I am not subscribed to send text messages, but I'd like to receieve messages from AIM through their mobile text messaging service.

My friends who use cingular just have to add + to their number in AIM and they can send messages to their phone. We tried this on my RAZR (Verizon), and it said the phone wasn't available (out of service area, or not turned on), and my phone was both in a service area and turned on.

If I subscribe though the mymobile.aim service (which forwards offline messages from my normal screename to my phone), will I have to pay for text messages just to get them?

I recently ordered the Motorola S200 to listen to my Razr V3M's songs and when I plug it in, sound comes out of the left earbud, but not the right. Do you think my headsets broken, or will this headset just not work with my razr? Thanks! 😳

I'm honestly on the fence and need your thoughts. I hve two days left to decide.

I currently have the Q. It is a nice phone with ok PDA features.

If I keep the Q in addition to using the phone I would use the Internet access, email access and possibly the calendar and possibly the music feature. The other features are of little interest to me.

However, from my experience so far the Internet access is hit and miss dependin on the site. My email access has been about the same.

The voice recognition on my Q is really poor so driving and making calls doesn't work very well.

When i use my bluetooth, somehow it always disconnect by itself, and i did not go any far away from my phone (sometime the phone is in my pocket). Anyone know why?

I bought a V3m at the Verizon store on Saturday. It lasted until Sunday morning -- it wouldn't finish booting, and got stuck in a screen showing "Registering Applications". I exchanged it for another one on Sunday. It lasted about 4 hours -- same symptoms. On Monday I exchanged it again. This one never made the 25 mile trip home, so I turned around and picked up the 4th one. It lasted one day and crapped out on Tuesday pm. The symptoms are a little different with the last two -- it will boot VERY slowly -- maybe 5 minutes, then show the main screen, but not respond to any keys. They tried re-flashing one of the phones, and that didn't help, so it looks like some sort of hardware issue. I talked to Motorola, and they say they haven't...

Hello. I have been researching on which VZW phone
I will upgrade to. It is a tough one to decide. Anyway
I have come across an article on how to access the
service menu of the RAZR V3C from

a VZW store near me and tried the steps on accessing
the service menu and it works on the V3M, too. I was
not able to go to possible service menu options as a
sales rep was walking towards me after I was able
to enter the service menu and passcode. I left!

Purchased the V3m late last week hours before reading about the possible launch of the Chocolate for mid-July. I'm not a big phone geek (not trying to offend) but I love the style of the Chocolate. "IF" the chocolate comes out mid-july, would it be a good idea to trade in for it? I always seem to read about so many problems with new phones/versions of phones. My razor is fine, it works great - and fairly cheap - $69 bucks, but I'd like something original... and hoping it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Any thoughts?

I read that you can hack the video someho and make it longer than 15 seconds, does anyone know how.

I desperately want the new Bluetooth stereo headset (Moto HT820) but as of now, i don't think it is supported?

I found this on Moto's website in their summary of features for the v3m:

What is EMU? (besides standing for emulation) and why would the M version NOT work with a bt stereo headset? if support is not built into it, is there a way around it?

On ebay, there are Motorola OEM Housing for the V3. (Not the Snap kind) Do those housing work for the V3m? Like the OEM V3 Black housing.

is VZW's UI have the ability to change the theme of the phone (like the menu bars can change colors?) like motorola's UI for the GSM V3?

Ok. I have some music from my CD collections in Window Media Player and sync them into the memory card on a card reader. They are now on my card but I can't locate them once I put the card back in the v3m. Am I doing something wrong. The only songs I see in my music are three songs I purchased from VCast music.

Any help would be greatly appreciate.
