No, this was downloaded from a site that no longer has it due to Microsft asking them to kindly not put up update ROMs anymore.

I have been using this ROM for several weeks now and its very stable.

I have been using the Push2Talk service and its great too!

No, you can download the ROM from the link I provided and you should be able to install it.

The only thing you will have to do, as per my previous post is to go to the xda developers forum.

http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HT ... »

and go to the upgrading for beginners section and follow the instructions.

The process takes about 1 hour, but I urge you to follow all the instructions carefully.

Does this ROM upgrade improve the earpiece volume? I find it on the low side (especially compared with a Blackjack).

What else besides PTT does the ROM do?

thnx!!

Sorry for such a late response. Have not been near a computer for awhile...

Its upgrades the OS to allow for easier internet sharing with your PC. So you can use your laptop to access internet via phone.

It allows for better memory handeling and is alittle more stable.

The indicator on the top now says 3G when you are in coverage instead of U...

Allows for Cingular Video, etc...

Overall a much better ROM

First off let me thank you for the link. Second a couple of ?'s. Is this the update everyone has been waiting for. The official ROM or a cooked one. Does it give you CV. And does it fix the notification for voicemail. (where it can't be dismissed) And does it unlock WIFI 802g. And lastly what other benefits over the previous rom does it have. Thanks again. Just want to make sure it's worth the switch.

Please forgive my ignorance, but how do I upload the file to my phone. When I attempted to open it it would not let me. I am sorry but am just learning and really wanted to try it out. Any help would be much appreciated.

This seems to be the same rom as the most current one available at HTC. Is that right. I just didnt want to flash my phone if necessary. Any help is appreciated. I thought I saw where this included CV and PTT?
