I'm a bit of newbie, so please excuse the unsophisticated question: Does the fact that the 8525 uses WM5 automatically mean that it can be used with stylus/touchscreen? Thanks.

The 8525 does have a touchscreen.. but not all version of Windows Mobile require touch screen. The Motorola Q with Verizon Wireless for example uses a lighter version of Windows Mobile and does not have a touchscreen.

ppc is touchscreen, smartphone is not touchscreen.
