Palm Treo 700p

I recently upgraded Windows Media Player to version 11. I had been using version 10 successfully to sync music from a Dell Inspiron 6000 with XP Pro SP2. Upon trying to connect my wife's Palm Treo 700p, it now says that the 6 month old phone is an obsolete device which is no longer supported 😡 . Microsoft's web site only claims to support the Palm Treo 700w now. I've reverted back to Media Player 10. Has anyone else experienced this, know a work-around or give a hoot?
