LG VX-8600 / AX-8600

how is the battery life on this phone? does it last awhile between charges? I have the razr and i can't even get a day out of it!!

My new every 2 is up. I am leaning towards the KRZR since Moto has far better reception than LG by my experience. I heard the 8500 ends calls sometimes since the buttons are too sensititive and the 8600 doesn't seem to be anything special. I am thinking, and according to VW, that when pricing changes around Nov. 26th, the KRZR may drop a bit in price for the Xmas season. Any thoughts or insight?

I just returned from the Verizon store where I checked out the new 8600. Can I please get some feedback about the speakerphone. It seemed very quiet. The rep first played music from the phone and that was loud enough, but when we tested the actual speakerphone is seemed VERY low. Please reply with your experience so far. THANKS 😁

Is picture quality good even though this phone has no flash mode? Is it even necessary?

Okay, I'm not due for NE2 till 1/08, and I'm not due for my early upgrade till 1/07 (but would need to resign 2 yr agreement which I don't want to do, I'm become too upgrade crazy over new phones).

I was looking at getting the 8600, because my husband's phone crapped out (we didn't have phone insurance ☹️ ). And was wondering if paying the $249.99 was worth it??

I have the holster and hate that the only way it fits is by putting the phone in backwards, and you only see the back of the phone. With a phone this hot, that is ridiculous! This is being returned for the leather case. At least with that, I can remove the front part of the leather case and still clip it to my belt.

does this have the same port as the 9800/8300 and so on, or is it a usb like the razr?????

Is it possible to set mp3's as ringtones? And if can you put ringtones straight from your microsd to the phone?

I am new here, first of all. I have been reading all over the net that this phone will be released tomorrow (Wednesday November 15). I called VZW and they say it wont come out for another week or so and hasnt even arrived at the stores yet...whats the deal?

Also, since I am new here, how are you guys getting these phones so early?!

Price and form aside is there any thing this phone does that the a990 doesnt? I'm not being sarcastic either I'm really torn between these two phones and I can't decide. I really like the camera on the a990 but the lg series had been good to me too.

How do you active speaker phone? been trying to figure it out for 20 min.

the front display turns off in 5 seconds there is noway to give the front display more time to stay on, i mean there is a way but the front display will stay on. the second issue you cant put costume txt tones for your friends, all your friends have to have the same txt tone, that sucks, i'v had my 8600 for four days now. other then that i love it, good sexy phone.

The 8600 is available in stores. I live in the Philadelphia, PA market and I just purchased at Circuit City. $249.00 Full retail. Beautiful phone with great display.

I found it online and dont even know if it is in the stores or not for $129.99 with $50.00 onilne discount and 100 off for ne2.

Okay, my 8100 is fast becoming obsolete, so I am looking seriously at this "diet" Chocolate. But why is it going to be almost $100 cheaper than the non-dietic Chocolate? What has Verizon done to limit it?

I've had this phone for about 3days now... and I have to say... Best phone varizon has come out with in a long time... in the last year and a half ive had... V710...E815...V3M...VX8300...And am finaly settled with the vx8600.. Reception is awsome.. by far better than the V3M or 8300... But No Where near the v710 or e815... Bluetooth data transfer works fantastic...Speaker phone could be louder though..and wish the cam was atlest 2megapix... Mp3 player awsome ofcourse and the "touchscreen" buttons in the front are a fantastic touch... the buttons are not nearly as sensative as the chocolate's...EVDO means fairly quick web browsing... which in this phone is great because of the awsome screen it has...Go play with one guys...This is deff a keep...

Can anyone compare 8600 vs. krazr in terms of RF and battery. Currently have krazr on 15 days. I had to disable EVDO to save battery. Would be nice to have a screen like my old 9900, but I don't want to sacrifice RF.

How does the outside screen look? I have compared the screen of the V to the screen on the 8300 and the screen on the 8300 seems to be very grainy. I was wondering if the outside screen on the 8600 is clear? Thanks for your help
