Nokia 6230

Worst Phone I Ever Had
I've had Nokia phones ever since I became a cell phone user and never had a problem until now. I'm on my 2nd Nokia 6230 in 2 weeks and both were defective! The screen keeps freezing up on me. I hear there is a software glitch with this phone. Be careful!
Good phone needs improvements...
I had purchased this phone unlocked and used it thru my T-Mobile service with no problems. This phone has many great features but could use an improvement here and there.
Pros: Bluetooth, sound quality, size and weight, good looking phone.
Cons: Old UI, screen size and quality, camera quality, video quality, collected dust underneath the screen.
Overall, a good phone that needs some tweaking here and there. Bluetooth works great with a headset and a Bluetooth enabled vehicle such as Acura TL.
junk

Stereo headset required for radio.
Regular looks.
Hangs at times. Handset need to be restarted after removing and putting back battery.

No Quad
Ok i never tried this phone, but I would love to be able to buy a nokia because I hear such great things about them compared to everyone else. But why can't they make a quad band phone? I think that's what a lot of people want when they buy a gsm phone, a phone they can use anywhere when they travel. So why can't they just throw in that extra band? Is it so difficult? Moto has been out with quad band for a while now. I'm gonna have to buy a motorola, otherwise I'd go with one of these nice nokias.
not what you expect it to be
PROS:
*Good reception
*easy short cuts
*not too bad of a camera
CONS:
*freezes...a lot where you have to take out the battery to restart it
*sometimes can't answer phone calls because it freezes
*keeps on scrolling down your phone book, even though you want to stop at a specific name, it won't stop...to undo this problem again is to take out the battery
*once in a while has turned off on me
*wish it was a bit smaller, but it's not bad at all
*so basically...too many bugs
*too much stuff on the phone that it can't handle all of it
*has freezed on me MANY times each day
Too Many Bugs
Let me first say that I actually wanted this phone and that it disgusts me that I am going to have to turn it in again, probably for good this time. I am on my third Nokia 6230 because of the same problem, the screen locks up and there is NOTHING that unlocks it except taking the battery out and putting it back in. I have had many Nokia's in the past and have never had any trouble with them. I see that lately Nokia's stock price has not been doing very well, I now understand why. They are no longer concerned with actually making a good product, they are more concerned with getting it out to the market. This is the worst phone I've ever owned, and I hope that everyone who reads this understands that I really wanted this phone, but frankly, I would rather settle for one that just works!
I do not recommend this phone!
