motorola and the v220 SUCKS
i have been a cell phone user for over 10 years, this is the worse phone i have ever owned,i have had this phone for 1 week now
and everyday this week i have been on the phone with cingular tech's getting this phone to do what motorola says it would
do, after a week talking to cingular tech
they finally decided that the phone was
programed wrong from the factory,the only thing that worked was....it would make a phone call and that was it.what motorola don't tell you before you buy it is you also
have to buy a cd and usb cable to download
pic's (no matter how bad they are)to your computter,what a rip off MOTOROLA anyway
cingular was on the phone with me for 4 hours
reprogramming this phone and 3 hours to program the other(i was stupid enough to buy 2.DON'T BUY THIS PHONE IT IS JUNK,but if you do DON'T BUY THE CAMERA KIT from MOTOROLA just buy the muilitimedia service on a pay per use and send your pic's to your email then download to your computer,it cheeper
and you won't be feeding the mouth's of MOTOROLA.

Mostly good
If your looking for a camera phone, with speaker-phone that you don't have to spend a ton of money on, this is it. Not perfect but it will do the job, until you can get a better one.
Pros: Huge phone book, decent pictures in good light, LOUD ring tones, quad-band, yahoo & AIM messenger.
Cons: No USB cable included, small screen makes it hard to see pics, no flash, only 1 game (and its a demo version), 2 kinds of phone book entries (confusing), and very limited internet.
Motorola V220
This phone is pretty good. Alot of people complain about it but its not a bad phone.
Pros:
- MP3 ringtones
- Speakerphone
- Small and light
- The phone vibrates loud bass in ANY ringtone
- Quad-band
- USB outlet
Cons:
- Screen is really small
- Screen resolution isn't good even thought it is 65K
- Pictures taken with the camera blurred (they look normal when you put them on your computer)
This is a good phone for the price and the amount of features you get. I would give this phone a 5/5 but the screen sucks. I also have a V300 and the screen and camera is amazing.

This phone is cool no doubt just because it has a camera, color screen, speaker phone i could go on all day.
The not so good about these phone is that the screen on these phone is extermly "small" and if the screen is small the picture quailty will be bad. If you where going to spend out money, go with something that is worth your money such as the v400 or v551 if you can afford it....
These phone could have a bigger screen an the picture quality needs to be better but if you are just someone that hasnt had a camera phone or cellphone go with these phone its basic nothing fancy.

i gave the the phone a 4.5..beacuse i rated it on what it is...an entry level camera phone..thats exactly what it is..it gets great signal and i love the mp3 ringtones.. the screen is lil dark..but overall if you dont want to spend more to get a v600 are the v551 then this it a good phone
Motorola V220
This is a nice, inexpensive entry level flip phone from Motorola.
Pros: inexpensive, small, lightweight, ringer volume and speaker volume is loud, can use USB from digital camera to download pix from camera to PC, downloadable ringers, games, and wallpapers, web browser
Cons: screen color is horrible compared to color phone models these days, reception not good in some areas (better with other Moto models), no Bluetooth, doesn't use same travel and car charger as other Moto models
I won't rate the camera because the camera resolution is never good in these phones.
Overall, if you're looking for a phone that is inexpensive and small, then this is the phone for you.
Very good phone.
The new motorola V220 is a brilliant phone. It has a good camera with a zoom and contrast adjust, it has great polyphonic ringtones, it's WAP enabled, has a colour screen and is a flip phone. The phone book can store many numbers with voice recordings and pictures. It has a really addictive game that comes with the phone as well which i can't stop playing. It has motomixer and vidio recording. There is also a small photo program that comes with it . The only downside to the phone is probably its very small size which makes the keys hard to push. It is quite technical as well which makes some of it hard to understand.
But overall it is a very good phone and I recommend it to all!
Moto v220
I'm glad i didn't listen to the reviews on here because i love this phone its camera is great and i love the hello moto ringtone i have cingular and i have great signal with cingular its small and light weight speaker is great usb is cool. i love this phone so much.mines quad-band. get this phone

Okay! you can change the faceplates i dont know why people keep saying this! if you put in a search engine FacePlates for Moto V220 it will bring you to a page! so get over it! yeah the screen might be small but what do you expect for a cheap phone? i think its a great little phone expecially for my 1st one! it is really small and cute!! i just got a face plate and it makes it alot nicer looking AND to me my phone doesnt seem as flimsy! you should definitly get this phone!
good phone for the price
I got this phone free from Cingular. I don't have that many complaints. It's a very good phone.
Pros:
good size, fits in pocket easily
volume buttons on the side
dedicated Camera button
speaker phone works well and loud enough
imstant messaging
Cons:
ringer not loud enough
feels like a plastic toy
only 2 ringtones
