Motorola V220
Average Ratings
Motorola V220
PROS:
Great reception
Intuitive operation
Nice feel and weight
FAST charge
Great pics
CONS:
Sure, you can hook this phone to your laptop with a USB cable. What they don;t tell you is it will cost a $30 software buy from Mototola, NOT from your carrier. Was a pain of a process tracking it down, and even then you still have to upgrade the software you just bought
Difficult to figure out how to assign pics for the caller ID
V220 Really good phone...good quality
I will give motorola a 5 on this v220. This phone and the v400 are like twin brothers. The only difference that i can find on this phone is the lcd quality. Is not a tft lcd. The only thing that you have to keep in mind is that the pictures or the camera doesn't look that great on the phone but if you send it to your computer it will look just like a v400 picture.
This phone is a lot smaller and lighter.
The battery last longer
It has a USB connector so you can download all your pictures and stuff. YOu can use the cable from your digital camera.
A++
Not a Problem
Overall I actually like this phone.
PROS
-small
-decent camera
-loud enough (speaker phone and earpiece)
-decent sized memory
-good reception (Suncom)
CONS
-I have had to turn off the phone once to be able to receive text messages but I have also had to do that with my previous phones.
-unless you're in good light the pictures look dingy.
All in all I think for the price that I paid for the phone it isn't bad.
its ok
this is the low end modle for moto's camara phones..... its like any phones of there's you pay for the quality of the phone if you want a moto. camera phone go big or go to a diffrent make.
Great phone
I got this phone today, and I love it. Although I would prefer the V551, I still recomend this phone. Its a tad small, but I had an unlocked X426, which is about the same size as the V220. The picture quality is good, its not the best, but it is very identifiable. The pro's on this phone are as follows: sound, camera, moto mixer, size, not too big, nor is it too small, it has a loud speaker, and it has speaker phone. This phone only has one con: the screen, its a bit small, but I was astounded that it was larger than expected, this is the only con I have with this phone. If it had a larger screen, I would easily give it a 5/5. I would recommend this phone to anybody, unless they didn't like motos, or just didn't want one. I hope this review helped.
short 2.5mm headset jack
The headset jack on this particular phone is a shorter 2.5mm plug. It's designed for only Motorola headsets to plug into. You won't be able to use any other non-motorola standard 2.5mm jacks.
This phone is 80% perfect!
This phone is pretty awesome! But the only two bad things there is; is that the screen is small, and the camera isnt that well. But, the speakerphone is great!! I'm almost in love with this phone!...
you get what you pay for.
This is not the most fantastic of phones i have ever seen, here is my analysis:
Pros:
Cute little phone
lightweight
camera
MP3 tones
motomixer
sms
modern
cheap
loudspeaker
Cons:
ring tone not loud enough
only 2 ringtones
camera quality poor
looks like a toy
stupid volume controls on side
video quality is not very good
front display too small
cannot read screen in sunlight
where the hell is the battery promised
hardly any accessories available
what happens if you don't like silver
altogether the phone is just a convenient little cheap camera phone, don't get me wrong, its a good enough phone but there is alt of floors with it. if you want a Motorola then i would suggest you get a V600 it is like this one but a bit nicer looking and works alot better, also available in 2 colours with more ringtones
V220
I have to say after owning a V600 this phone is much better for cingular customers. While the style is not as cools as the V400/600 it is nice. Others are right when they say the contrast is hard to see but adequate. As far as the camera goes, I haven't had much trouble with it, then again I'm not expecting a 5 mega pixel resolution with a lens that's the size of a tear drop! The ringtones are limited with the cingular version, but are easily upgraded via midi tones over the net (free of charge). Use a digital camera USB cable to hook this phone up and there ya go. Overall, this phone is a nice entry level phone. I'm waiting for the Motorola Mpx 220!!!
good then it goes bad
I had this phone for 6 months and I have had to replace it three times since then. It has horrible reception. cheaply made it almost has a toy feel.
pros:
good camera
lots you can do
you can make your own ring-tones cool usb plug in
cons:
cheaply made
breaks easily
drop it oh well
bad reception
no signal for it being gsm
