LG VX-6100
Average Ratings
VX6100
My first phone I've got had problem with other people hearing me. They reported my voice was choppy and did not here me first 2-3sec.
I replaced my phone next day with another 6100. This one works fine. Taking in account complain of other people I would think LG had bad run of VX6100. I will test it extensively next two weeks and hope I will like it. So far reception was better then my previous VX4400. Love voice dialing feature,
voice caller ID. This very handy. Flash on the camera is useless.
Not Good Enough
I was disappointed in the 6100 and returned it for a VX7000.
PROS:
Good form factor
Clear display
Voice commands
CONS:
Volume Bug- Could not hear people on an incoming call for the first 3 seconds
Choppiness in call quality
Dropped calls-not as good RF as other people have said (IMO)
For me it just wasn't good enough to keep.
Warm
I just got this phone a few days ago but I noticed this phone seems to become a little warm when in use for awhile, is this pretty normal?
Did not meet my expectations
Pro's: good call quality. Battery life is decent. Color screen is good when you can see it. Look and feel is good. Charges very fast!
Con's: Crappy camera. Voice dialing is a 3 step process just to connect. Speakerphone, while decent, is of no valuable use.
I expected more from this phone. Verizon needs to come out with a phone that is solid as a rock with solid everyday functions. This color screen thing is going no where. Why have one when you can't see it in daylight? Would I recommend this phone. Probably not. I think that Verizon has better ones out there. In fact, I think the a670 blows this one away. just my opinion.
Typical LG quality, VERY LOW.
Phone is horrible.
Cant hear on it.
Display washed in all but very dark areas.
Buy anything except a LG phone !
Also had the VX-6000, even worse.
VX-6100 or LG finally makes a bad phone
Yes this phone has all the problems listed by everyone. No need to to go over volume issues. The voice quality of this phone is the worst I have listened to.
This review is written from someone who is listening to someone talking on a vx-6100.
I talk to a family member on a daily basis, at least one hour a day. This is always done at the same location and same time of day. When my son started using the vx-6100 I noticed that it sounded tinny and choppy. It was so bad everytime he said sometime I would say what? i would miss the first word or half of the first word he said in each sentance. It was bad. Also I would hear noises and odd clicks and volume differences.
He returned the vx-6100 for a VX-7000.
The VX-7000 is great, sounds like a land line. I never have to say what? Do yourself and the people you talk to a favor don't get a vx-6100 get a VX-7000, now that is a good phone.
This phone blows...
I bought this phone about 17 days ago and from the beginning did not like the earpeice sound. It was either too loud or garbled. My wife has the same phone and has the same exact issues. Dropped calls, etc. I use to have a Moto V120c and it was far better.
Poo reception and sound clarity
I am thinking of returning my 6100 .
The reception and sound clarity with this phone
is poor. Not to mention the volume bug and signal flucatuation issues .
My old A 310 had really good reception and sound clarity but unfortunately is broken.
I was thinking of exhanging my phone for either
the SAMSUNG A 650 OR THE LG VX 3200 .
This phone is disappointing
After my v60 recently started having difficulty charging due to worn out contacts, I decided to give the 6100 a try. Initially, I was very pleased with the phone. After 5 days of ownership, I am now looking for a new phone (limited options on VZW).
Pros:
-small and lightweight
-clear screen
-very easy to use
-tri-mode
Cons:
-Sound Quality: excellent when signal is strong, but deteriorates to terrible very quickly
-Volume BUG: this bug kills the phone for me. Not being able to hear anything for the first 10 seconds is a joke.
-Battery Life: 1 word: Pathetic
The three cons kill what is otherwise could have been a great phone.
