LG Clout

Phone constantly reboots itself
I'm currently awaiting my 3rd replacement phone because each time I have received the LG Clout, the same problem continues to happen. Before the alarm goes off on the phone, the phone shuts down and restarts. Half the alarms are missed entirely because when the phone restarts, if the time has passed since the alarm was supposed to go off, the alarm never sounds!!! This time when I spoke to the service provider I told them I wouldn't accept another Clout as a replacement. I'm hoping the new Samsung Convoy 2 has better luck then the Clouts when it arrives.
Worst phone ever
I am on my second LG 8370 flip phone. The battery life is awful it will not last 5 or 6 days like they tell you it does. It last only 1 - 2 days for me and I am going to send it back or take it back to the store this week. It is the worst phone i have ever owned. I recommend you do not get this phone.
I tried to! LG VX5600 Accolade
I loved this phone when I tested it out. But when I finally got it as a phone, it was a nightmare, wouldn't activate, and the battery right now won't work. I love my Chocolate touch now.
usless
The speed dial function does not work on the Clout. You can make your speed dial entries, but the phone dumps them after it is cycled off then on.
I exchanged the phone but the new one did the same. The Costco guy called Verizon and found out it is a known problem to be fixed at some unknown later date.
This phone is useless to me without speed dial.
Very good phone, but...
The Clout is one beautiful phone, and improves on many of their previous versions shortcomings. But there is still some drawbacks, which I will mention soon.
One of the biggest additions is the âInfo SearchâÂ. Letâs say you search for âPaulâÂ, and you have a contact âPaulâÂ, and any saved text message with the word Paul, and a âTo Doâ list with âcall PaulâÂ, the Clout will search your phone and instantly show all 3!
You can also now â FINALLY! â talk on speaker phone even with flip closed.
So let me do a sum up:
Pros:
- Universal search (they call it âInfo searchâÂ)
- You can use speaker phone even with flip closed
- Finally able to adjust fonts (small, medium & large)
- Threaded messaging
- Possibility to save ringtones on card
- Addition of âNOTESâ for each contact is very handy.
Cons:
- Small LCD on the outside with big letters for caller ID, so if, say, Paul Green is calling you, the screen will show only partial name, like: Call from âPaul G...âÂ
- No feminine version. My wife bought one, but sheâd love a color like red, purple, pink, etc.
- No music in background. You must turn off the music player in order to do anything else.
- The music player interface is old ,boring & slow!
- 2.5mm headphone jack! Still?? Where is the 3.5?
- No auto focus on camera.
- Video recording quality is only 176x144 resolution. I am not asking for HD here, but come on! At least 320x240!
- Still no T9 editor, like Sprint offers on all their phones!
- No visual voice mail available on this phone.
- Default alert for reminders is still annoyingly â15 minutes beforeâÂ, with no way to change it.
- Also, when reminding, there is no option to erase. You must exit, and come back, and only then select delete.
- Still no way to organize your pics/clips in any order.
Some more minor cons:
- Number typefaces on keypad a little funny, not elegant
- Send/End buttons are white colored. No more Green/Red.
- Very little clock formats (Samsung is better with this)
- Not enough regular ringtones
