great little phone
great BASIC FEATURES
great battery life
great compact design
cons
ringers! but thats to be expected with most phones these days
i personally think its the carriers that are telling the makers to do that so have us the customers/buyers spend more money on buying and charging -- fees and cost to get a nice ringer or two!
the one i have is a cricket phone im a third party seller and manager and i went four phones off our line up and i have to say its always the NON name brands that out perform the name BRAND phones!
ie slvrs, razors
the candid was a great lil phone too but thats another review...

Wonderful simple phone....
My husband and I own 2 of these phones through Cricket. For a first time phone, it's great. We get excellent reception and the screen is very easy on the eyes. Battery life is not bad either.
PROS:
- Easy to see screen
- Voice activated dialing
- Preset messages for texting
- Bright message indicator light on outside of the phone
- Ability to vibrate while ringing
- Good signal quality
- Simplicity
- Colorful menus
- Nicely spaced buttons
- Address book is excellent. Room for 2 mobile numbers, work number, home number, fax number, 2 email addresses and not to mention a place to writes notes on the contact.
- I really like a couple of the ring tones, although there are not many to start with.
CONS:
- Could use louder ring tones and more variety
- Semi fragile (both my husband and nephew have cracked the screen and had to replace within in a month. But if you buy the leather pouch, no problems. We purchased the leather pouch and my husband (yet again) dropped the phone and this time with no problems. It's almost husband proof with the case.
- Could use a stronger battery. Talk time is only 3.5 hours. Standby time is great though.
- Lack of punctuations for texting. There are a lot of punctuations (parenthesis and equal signs for example) that are not available for texting
- In the address book, have to put extensions for people in the notes section of the contact.
All in all, this is an EXCELLENT phone for simplicity and for being solid. We absolutely love them. We will be upgrading to a phone with a little more bells and whistles but this was an excellent starter phone.
Now, this phone is suppose to come with 2 free games on it but unfortunately Cricket seems to remove them before selling (I believe). I have seen a couple of forum posts regarding people who have the phone through Cricket not having the games. I do not have them as well. I will be going into the store to find out why though.
It's a good phone. No bells - no whistles.
If you're looking for a good everyday phone. Choose this one. We've had our 3 in our family for nearly a year and have NO problems with any of them. Like I said, no bells and no whistles. Who really cares? A phone should be a phone. A camera should be a camera. Etc. We trust ours to the point we've had our land line disconnected and use only this phone. No problems.
Pros: Size, battery life, dependability.
Cons: Ring could be louder. Especially for a home phone.
Battery Life
I love the little trooper, but it just doesn't have the battery life I need. I'm constantly recharging it. I even carry my charger with me now because I know by the end of the day it needs to be recharged. Other than that I absolutely love the voice activated dialing and voice answer features!
