Samsung SGH-D357
Average Ratings
Bad call Quality - Ear piece volume low.
I had used an LG flip phone with ATT Wireless. When I moved to Cingular, I wanted a change. So I chose Samsung D357.
I was very disappointed. Its ear piece volume was very low and the menu graphics were cheesy. It felt so bad that I sent it back right away.
VERY DISAPPOINTED
I have had this phone for just a few months. I must have purchased it just before cingular discontinued it. I am extremely disappointed with the phone's reception. I have had more dropped calls in 3 months than I have had in the previous 3 years. Tried to exchange it in the store after a couple of days. Got the run around. They kept trying to get me to try different remedies. Nothing worked. My biggest complaint is the reception. The other major problem with this phone is the sound quality/volume. I have a difficult time hearing the person I am talking to.
Pros:
Bluetooth (my reason for upgrading in the first place) However, when outside, the reception from the headset to the phone is poor.
Alarm
Cons:
Extremely poor reception
Numerous dropped calls
Volume is not loud enough
Boring ring tones
area code displayed on all incoming calls (caller then not identified by name)
Only number for each name in address book
I am so dissatisfied with this phone I have not played with all the features much. Loved my ancient Nokia and my Motorola V220 much more! This purchase was a waste of money and a waste of a 2 year contract commitment. Don't get me wrong I am satisfied with Cingular's reliability. This phone was a complete disaster for Cingular and Samsung!
