Nokia 2610
Average Ratings
Great device
A basic phone for making calls. If you don't waste your money on mobile internet or multimedia crap it is perfect! Great battery life, sounds good and is a compact phone easy to carry around. Just adjust the contrast to low for a better screen display and turn off the sleep mode. You can adjust the call volume during a call only using < or > with the directional key.
Nice Nokia, classy look & feel for price
I bought my Nokia 2610 through the online AT&T store for an excellent price compared to the in-town store. Though it has a few items that bug me a bit, I would rate it very high for a low cost phone.
It feels good in the hand, love the blue lighted keypad. Solid feel, good size. The toggle is a bit wobbly and I make mistakes sometimes and get the wrong response. That is one of my bugaboos about it.
I like the styling, the look, the screen is a good size. Only improvement there would be a QWERTY foldout or slideout version keypad besides the usual. But, for my first mobile browser enabled phone, I don't think I would have chosen differently. I'm glad it's my "first AT&T."
My absolutely first cellphone experience is a Tracfone Nokia 2126, no browser. So the 2610 was for me at least, a deluxe experience. A person more used to devices with lots of extra features might not be satisfied, but it does what it ought for the design.
I now want a QWERTY device and might like something that plays music, has a camera. Had to start somewhere with AT&T and glad I started here.
PRO:
FAST texting, can adjust the text size, nice screen, nice layout, clean look and feel, can do email,eBay; good loud speakerphone; like the alarm, calendar, timer, notes; nice selection of downloadable graphics, ringtones, love the croaking frog alert/wallpaper/screensavers. Like the MEdia Net, good 3G speed page loader, FAST scrolling, good browser keypad command responses. Has a quality feel to it, great basic phone.
CON:
Sometimes crashes, particularly under heavy texting, but the negs might just be my phone. The backlighting goes out way too fast, couldn't fix that with settings. Sometimes get error messages with texts saying it failed delivery, THAT's a bugaboo. Had to delete preloaded games to put just a few graphics/tones onboard. Hard to see screen outside even in partial shade.
Aight Phone....for the price
This phone is an alright low end phone. Its very cheap at 90 bucks in Canada but the performance really shows it.
Pros and Cons :)
Pros:
Decent Speakerphone
Customizable themes
Real Cheap
Pretty much it
Cons:
The screen is mediocre and also very very small
No bluetooth
No REAL features
UGLY!
Big
Short Battery
I got this phone for free (changed it later on to fido)
Overall Dont get it because there is a Nokia 6061 for 20 bucks cheaper....and its ALOT better!
Not the best
I have this phone right now and i just wanna get rid of it.When playing songs on this, they sound all scratchy and stuff, and my most fave thing about a phone is when it can play high quality sounding music.I'm all about the music and this phone is definately not.
pros:
nice keypad
easy texting
large contact list
large message content
large enough screen
cons:
cant see in the day light
not enough memory
bad sound quality
no camera
no hi-tech stuffs
2610
T-mobile= black keypad
AT&T(Cingular)= silver keypad
All other reviews hit it practically on the head. Screen is not as vibrant as other previous Nokia models for this venue. 6010, had 4096K display but it was crisper. 6030 is smaller and on the same par as the 2610. Battery on all is great. RF is superb.
