LGVX4400 Nothing but PERFECTION!!!

Feb 2, 2003 by James Akin

I actually own a cell phone company in Albuquerque, New Mexico and I have been awaiting the arrival of this phone for about 5 months. This phone did not disappoint. I love LG manufactured phones because they are a truly great product. This phone is nothing but better than any of the other color phones on the market. I played a lot with the Motorola 720 and the 4400 blows it away. If you want a great color phone with great battery life, great reception, and great durability this is the phone for you. I have long been an advocate for the LG product line and this is no exception. The 3 hour talk time is no lie. Try the best phone on the market today for yourself. LG really hit a homerun with this phone!

5 stars

Was never really a fan of LG.....but this phone is great..one of the best phones on the market...very impressed..decent battery life for a color display. Highly recommend extra capacity battery. Good sound quality. The downloaded ring tones sound great. Good job "LG".....

Most Excellent

So far, this is the best performing phone I have owned. It has worked wonderfully in digital and analog for me as well as having a very good pull on reception (I've been a Verizon customer for a bit, this one definitely has a good bar or two above others). The downloading is fast and the ringer system sounds great, though I do wish it would have the 40 note system the LX5350 had... the sound quality has actually been quite excellent and the voice dial has great recognition. I find the menu very easy to navigate through (though, since i've owned an LG in the past, this is pretty explainable).

This will definitely stay my phone until verizon decides to get a camera phone.

Love The LG VX4400

I just purchased the LG VX4400 (from Verizon) and I love it. The sound is clear and there are many extras, including the brightly colored screen. I had the Motorola T720 prior to this phone and within the 15 day trial period I returned it for the VX4400. The keypad is well lit in blue and the phone is so easy to navigate, unlike the Motorola T720. As for the durability of the VX4400... that it is! No squeaking noises like the T720 and the battery life isn't too bad considering it being a colored screen. I am very pleased with my new phone and I would purchase the VX4400 if I had to do over again. The only downfall of the VX4400 is the ringer selection isn't all that great and there is a limited wallpaper selection. Unfortunately, you can't download any new wallpapers but you can download ring tones through the "get it now" option. If you're looking for a nice phone that is durable and sounds great with nice options, this is it!

Way to Go LG!!!!!!

I received this phone due to filing an insurance claim and am glad that I got it. The phone is small, compact and has a great feel. I especially like the keypad response. The phone directory is outstanding. It is very simple to add and find entries. The volume control (including vibrate) on the side is simply divine. All the colors are just fantabulous...I am so very impressed with this phone. The only downside is I wish the colors were more brilliant like the Audiovox 9500 and if the 4400 had a speaker function, that would really be cool...HATS OFF TO LG....you won my heart again.

Great Phone

This is the best phone I have ever owned. Nothing left to say, just a super phone.

Great over all phone

This phone is truly a great one! I had a Samsung A310, which was good also, but this one really was the one for me. I actually went through my insurance company because I broke the flip on my Samsung and at first was disappointed when they told me that I would be receiving a different phone. When I got it and went through all the options and looked at the clarity and vividness on the screen I was thoroughly pleased. When I had looked it up on Phonescoop.com I became reluctant when I read a review that stated that there was a 5 second delay between one call to the next. I happen to be a back to back caller and after receiving the phone I discovered that when you press end about 4 times after the call it bypasses the wait time.
Pros:
• Clarity of the color screen
• Various ring and voice settings
• Numerous options to personalize your phone
• Great reception in areas that I have never been able to get reception with other phones
Cons:
• Decent battery life, but not as good as I would like
• Does not come with any games

4400 great so far

I have owned a lot of phones (samsung a500, lg 5350, sam. a310, mot t720 and 7868w, sanyo 4900 and 5300 and on and on) and this one seems top notch. Great volume, call clarity, reception, solid build, nice screen, large outside lcd, very customizable. This phone is everything sprint wanted the a500 and 5350 to be and lots better than verizon's mot t720. Too early to tell about battery but made it thru second day on first charge. Ergonomics is nice and feels just slightly larger than a500. Ringtones are pretty lame but a few of them are fine. Desktop charger is nice and it comes with a detailed manual. easy to flip open with one hand and menus are very intuitive. So far the ringtones are the only con and the phone does not seem very buggy at all. Very happy so far.

Impressed so far.

This is the 4th cell phone I've owned. It replaced a V60c. Up until now, I had only considered Morotola phones. The vx4400 has changed that attitude.

The color display is outstanding. It has one of the loudest ringers I've ever heard. I originally felt the menu system was confusing (having been familiar with the Motorola menus), but have changed my opinion.

Pros:
Display - Beautiful

External LCD - Nice, large display, color indicators

Tri-Mode - Samsung A530 lost my consideration due to lack of analogue
Ringer - Can wake the dead

PIM - Nice calendar feature. Much more intuitive interface than Motorola.

Quality - Compare the customer reviews of the VX4400 to the T720. LG is the hands down winner.

Cons:
Vibrate mode - Too soft, cant feel it most times. A selection of "dot and dash" patterns might help as well.

Extended battery - Way too big. It almost doubles the thickness of the phone.

It was difficult for me to leave the "Church of Motorola." My investment in chargers, USB cables, software, etc. made moving to LG more expensive than I would have liked. However, I've had occasion to play with friend's T720, and I'm glad I made the move.

I'd recommend the VX4400 to anyone.

Great Phone

This is a nice phone for an older person or business professional. I do not recommend it for teenagers. It is sleek and nice looking. It works great and I rarely have problems with it. The menus are easy to navigate and are very user friendly. I don't like the instruction book very well because it is vague and doesn't explain the full potential of the phone. It has a great battery life for a color phone. The rings are loud enough to hear in almost any situation. They are somewhat cheesy, but if you don't want to be embarrassed at work, set it on vibrate. You can't really feel the vibrator if the phone is on the belt clip because of the distance from the phone to your body, however if it is in your pocket (and it is small enough to fit) then you feel it much better. The signal is bad in rural parts but what service isn't? Overall I strongly suggest this phone for anyone looking for a professional looking phone with good reliability and user friendly features!
