Motorola W315

Not a good phone
This is my 4th cell phone and it is the worst one I've had. It does not have good reception and it shuts off all the time on its own. Sometimes I turn it on and it says " invalid battery." It said that the first day I got it. Not many options on this phone. It is heavy and bulky.
Horrible phone
This phone is horrible. If you want a basic phone go with the LG 3XXX series. The hinge is flimsy (It feels like it will break every time I open or close the phone.) You can't get ringtones on vtext .com and the ones that are on the phone are bad. There are so many better choices than this phone
Not bad, but not good
Its actually a decent little phone. My only complaint is that the battery life is horrible, and the hinge is very weak. I had this phone for about a month, and now when I open or close it, the phone powers off. I think that there might be a short in the hinge. It has alot of travel in it. I just got a 323I and it is way mush better. I wouldnt recommend the W315 to anyone.
New User
I purchased the phone 4 days ago for the features it offers and I didn't want a camera nor an MP3 player unit. It is a very nice unit and even impressed my wife who has a different brand. Only CON I have found so far is that the 'soft keys' are not consistent in their function from option to option - it is like the code for using was written by two sub-contractors who didn't have any standards.
However, being slightly sight impaired and with no prior cell phone experience, I am having difficulty with the unit's documentation - it stinks. And the information for using this unit with my carrier (Alltel) is scattered over many different websites and the verbage is not consistent across these websites...so learning how to use the unit has been difficult. To make a simple, keyed phone call is easy; to make use of other phone functions takes some research and patience...maybe with more experience it will be an easier unit to use - I sure hope so!
