Good phone - almost perfect - DLX wins by a hair
Pro's: Great Reception quality, strong signal strength, bluetooth works well.
KEYPAD - best keypad of any phone I have had yet.
Fast UI, no lags in the menu, texting, etc.
Great form factor, size
Like the color contrast - black phone with red button lights - looks sharp
Clear call quality (true with vast majority of sprint phones, it is probably the network) But still more clear than most
Con's:
The earpiece volume is not loud enough, but then again, I am half deaf since I have worked around heavy machinery half of my life
Camera is very mediocre, not even as good as the Fusic.
Speakerphone is not too great, definitely not as good as the Fusic
Overall great phone! Highly recommend unless you are hard of hearing or want a good camera.
Great Phone!
Ok This will be short and sweet...
Great phone tested it in comparison to my VX-8300....
PROs:
Long continuous talk time 4:22 - 4:36 before it beeps. I tested it with a call between my 8300.
Great feel to keys and side buttons.
Bigger side buttons than Katana DLX
Big easy keys to use for texting.
Great Stand by time. (still being tested cause it's been over 2 days without a charge and has 3 bars.
Signal is great! Better than or equal to my Verizon phone. In some cases I get 4-6 bars where my Verizon phone gets 0-1.. or roaming.
Nice white key lights better than boring blue.
Good ringer and ear piece volume.
Cons
no extended battery or official case besides body glove case.
no stereo speakers like VX-8300 has
no caller id speaker 8300 would say name of caller.
Feel free to ask questions. I will answer
I love my new phone
I just got this phone on 8-1-07. I read all the reviews before I made my decision. I was worried when I bought it. I LOVE this phone, it has great reception, easy to text, great screen, has an ok speaker. Its so slim I can carry it where ever and it doesnt take up room in my purse. When you play the mp3 you can hear the music just fine. The only problem I have with the phone is the smugs, but I can live with it until I get a case. This is a great phone! Where I live you cant use any type of phone in Wal-Mart, this phone has reception in Wal-Mart, NO DROP CALLS, NO BREAKING UP!
Good phone for looks
I will make this short and sweet. This phone has no good mp3 player. I have had nothing but problems with this phone. I tried to make it work but no success. In the end, do a 30 day exchange and get a Katana DLX.
Pros:
Sleek Design
Good Battery
Nice outside display and keypad
Cons:
Bad Text messaging capability
Bad Mp3 player
Lousy battery life
Think I will swap for the Sanyo Katana dlx...Hear that the battery is much better. I have to charge this phone less than 12 hrs daily. I have not even started to get into the music yet. Had about a week and so far not impressed.
Grooving with my new Muziq!
I love everything about this phone....from the cool slim design to the music and the easy of use of this great MP3 player to the awesome camera and ... the fact that...wait, it's a phone as well!! Great job LG. Thanks!
Great multitasking features
Very satisfied with this phone for the quality and neat design and also for the multitasking capabilities. You can run multiple applications at the same time without any problems. I have been listening to music in the background while using my phone and it's really cool and easy to do.
The FM transmitter is also a nice added feature.
love it
Just got this phone, I love the look and thin, sleek design. Camera is great. I just took a few pictures and they came out great. Music sound is perfect. Phone is easy to use.
Good Phone
Well for starters I've been selling phones for over 3 years and make it a habit to know about the phone I buy. The phone is a great phone to use. I live east of Colorado Springs and drive all over the Springs area. I have had no issues with signal. Here are the PROs and CONs:
PROs:
*Slim Design fits any pocket.
*Stereo Bluetooth
*Micro SD expandable
*1.3 Mega pixel Camera (For a 1.3 its clear.)
*Comes with USB Cable and Software so it can be used as a modem or for easy music transfer.
*Can transfer and play any MP3. No locks or restrictions.
*Touch sensetive MP3 pad. No buttons to damage.
CONs:
*Outer Finish is easy to scratch.
*Speaker phone could be louder.
If you are looking for a good MP3 player phone that allows you to transfer your own music over its easy. Or just a slim line phone thats clean looking this is the phone for you.
Outside looks good.
I have owned the Fusic for a few months and really came to like it. I just couldn't stand that is was white and cheesey looking.
I splurged and bought the Muziq basically for looks alone.
If they would have just kept the insides and menu layout and functions the same. I'll start with my beefs.
The Themes are horrible except the LG one. The font in the others is very hard to read. The pre-loaded screen savers are ugly and too busy.
My other big complaint is the volume buttons are on the flip. They are very hard to reach without moving your hand. If you are on a call and need to adjust the level it isn't easy. I would really like to hear LG's reasoning behind that one.
Other than that the phone is pretty good. Sounds nice and clear. The external speaker with music sounds louder, if a bit more "tinny" than the Fusic. If only they would have had this shell on the Fusic, there would have been no need IMHO to buy this one.
