Shadow - A definite NO NO!
I had the wing, sent it back! I had the shadow and im sending it back.
Pro's
-Screen
-Form factor
-Calls are clear, but not too loud.
Con's
Reception - Doesn't work in many places all my other Tmobile phones have worked and in places where my other phones worked great this one doesn't work so great!
WM6 (windows mobile 6) - What can I say, its like after 6 version they cant fix a thing. Ending applications is retarded. You have to go to the task manager to close apps. If you dont next thing you know the phone is bogging down and if your unlucky going to freeze! Applications cant be closed by hitting back or even menu and then exit for that matter. Very few apps have that feature. Also still no copy and paste feature added which is a huge problem especially if once used a pocket pc! WM6 seems like something I would probably like if it was released on the shadow in maybe 2003 but in 2007 almost 2008 my goodness there are so many phones that blow this thing away!!!
Keypad - Keypad feels nice but kinda bites! After a week of having the phone and really not using it much had the keys start to shift! Whats up with the quality there HTC!
XT9 - Predictive text is horrible! The sure type on the blackberry pearl was like one million times better. It would actually learn your typing patterns and most commonly typed words. NO NO this one just does stupid predictions and doesn't learn a thing! If anything it gets dumber! Do no recommend this!
Returning
I own this phone for Half a day, and I am already going to return it. I bought it for my wife just b/c she needs to use it with a software that is not available yet on BB.
Well, I rather would like to wait for the software to come out than getting stuck with this phone!
PROS:
It is a very cool looking phone, I'll give it that....but this is it.
WiFi was pretty fast, maybe b/c the phone is new.
CONS:
The fact that you cannot customize the screen and icons is just annoying.
Someone was writing about VGA screen, not sure what it means, but I sure saw some antique looking graphics on mine.
Camera without any flash gives pretty horrible pictures when shooting not in a sunny environment.
9xt, I think that what they call predictive text....well, it could be good, but I personally don't like it, and I didn't find a permanent switch to a regular typing.
To conclude:
Could not give this phone more than 2.5 based just on the looks.
For heavy users out there...I suggest to wait for a better version of this thing, if there will be one...
