Its ok.........
ok.. to start off with i am a 15 year old and saved up 354.00 2 get a prepaid 1, looking foward to a good phone... it was ok at first but i soon truly regreted buying it.. i spent all of that money on a phone that wasnt really worth it.. so if u have the money its a good buy but it will become big and aggravating after a while....
pros...

Cons...
*gets big and aggravating after a while
*screen gets scratches easily
* camera COMPLETELY SUCKS!!!!!!!! u have to be in direct light.. other than that the camera has no use

*only able to get ringtones that tmobile has under download fun....
overall i wouldnt buy it unless u have another phone and just want 2 use this 1 for email, text, etc.. but overall its ok..

big con
Like most people here I'm impressed with the side kick 2, but I'm disappointed with the durability of this device. The first day I got my side kick I dropped it. It feel no more then three feet. It broke quite a surprise considering it landed on a carpet floor. I called T mobile stayed on hold for a hour finally got someone to fix my problem. (sent me another phone) To those who have side kicks don't drop them or you may find yourself in the same boat as I was.

every1 needs a SK2; waiting 4 the SK2.5 OR 3
I had my sidekick 2 for a month and a half and i love it. at first i wanted to get the hp 6315 but i ended up w/the sidekick 2.here's what makes it great:
Pros: excellent keyboard for text ,IM and emailing.screen very decent size for viewing.signal reception is waaaaaayyyyy much better as well as clarity. speakerphone very loud and clear. and durable housing(i dropped it 5x,NP)
Cons: none.\
I hope tht Danger has the sense to add Bluetooth, better camera resolution and video capture, and EDGE for faster web browsing.more memory (8MB). better camera w/MP (2.0).
wait til tmobile gets the Treo 650.i may get that as well. but i'll stick w/the SK2 OR 3when it's comes.

Talk about excellence!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This phone is awsome! The camera is Ok not that i take that much pictures. The features are great such as the e-mail AIM the notes and tasks are good. the reminders are good too. The accesories are good like the bumpers and the carrying cases. The security is also good, this phone has great sucurity. It loads all your buddies on your buddy list. The web browser is awesome it takes like 1-2 minutes the maximum to load a website. But the web browser is awesome! Now the battery life from 1-10 i'll give it a 6 or a 7. The service to me is good with this phone. Because where my friends other t-monile phones don't get service my sidekick gets service. The applications to download thing are great some of the stuff is free! The graphics are good its loud especially the speakerphone. I was debating on wheather to get an i860 or a sidekick 2 but now i realized i made a good choice. I like it very much is has a lot of great features. And i like it a lot so for those of u who r hesitating to get this phone, don't. T-mobile sidekick, Everyone needs one.

Sidekick II is a great little gadget....
I was torn about the decision to buy the Sidekick II because the previous models were undesireable. However, when I went into the T-Mobile store and played with it I was hooked. It's a sleek little gadget that meets all my on-the-go needs. I looked at the Blackberry 7100t - not for me. I agree with other reviews, Bluetooth technology would've been a great feature, but I expect it will be featured on the next model along with EDGE.

Sidekick 2 #1 Communication Device
Let me first starting off that this phone is defiantly not for everybody but if you love to text and surf the web this is your phone. This phone is amazing you can communicate in 4 different ways Texting, Instant Messaging either Yahoo or AOL (Sorry for the MSN users must go Verizon for this feature), E-Mail, and the old fashion simply by placing a call. Currently I'm on T-mobile Get More 600 min., 3-Day Weekend, added a feature Unlimited Nights for 9.99, and unlimited Sidekick. That is way enough talk time for me. I find myself using texting and e-mailing more frequently. The Cons like for me if you own a phone that capture video and has a built memory slot (like V710 can play music video and movies) you'll be very disappointed. No MP3 playback, No Midi Playback bigger than 100K (what the), cant save pictures or midi rings to the phone (Disappointment). If you were once with verizon wireless with one of the best network a couple drop calls will piss you off. But the brighter side things it takes great pictures not digital quality but show enough better quality than 90% of the phones out (I know a technology freak in the flesh). The reason I settled with Sidekick II not a PDA it's the plan T-mobile offers with it Unlimited Sidekick (unlike verizon I was getting tax up the behind with verizon with texts) on average, I average about 2300 texts in a month and about 45 MB of surfing the Internet look up with any other companies you be paying over $300 over data alone with any other company or phone. If you love to text, instant message, e-mail, surf the Internet wherever you go Sidekick 2 with your buddy to keep you connected with your buddies. P.S. If danger plan on making a sidekick 2 here are some suggestions: 1. Blue-tooth (It's the way of the mobile world. 2. Video Capture 3. Memory Card Slot 4. Download-able Pictures and Music 5. Ring-tones. No Changes: 1. Talk & Standby Time (wonderful) 2. Speakerphone & Volume (great) 3. Flip Screen (Boy, do the ladies Love It)

Great phone - poor T-Mobile signal
Have had the SK2 for a six weeks. It's full of great features, although the camera only takes so-so pics. The first two calls placed to technical service were very helpful.
The biggest downfall has been with poor reception. I was told my signal here in my neighborhood (Waukegan, Illinois) was "one notch below the best." But every time I use it (even outside my house), the best I can get is a single bar. This phone is supposed to have a stronger antenna and more powerful radio but you'd never know it.
A T-Mobile service rep stated I'd get a $5.00 credit after I complained about the poor reception. When it didn't appear on my first statement, I called and had to wait 15 minutes while the customer rep checked computer record after computer record. The credit was buried and had never been processed.

sidekick 2
Great phone...pda..and conversation piece. This phone is not as serious as the blackberry, but delivers your email from 3 separate account plus you get a tmail account and you can download AOL mail for free. This is the perfect phone to always be intouch...the camera isn't great but not many camera phones are..I love this device and am already looking forward to Danger next big thing.

WAY TO GO DANGER
First let me say that I have been an avid user of the Sidekick/Hiptop 1, and have been greatly appreciative of the changes built into the second generation Hiptop! This phone has become an indispensable tool in my daily life.
Here's my take on the Sidekick/Hiptop 2.
PHONE
The phone is much better ergonomically designed than it's predecessor. The phone volume is par with other phones I've used, and the speakerphone's volume is outstanding. The crackling and popping sounds that were all too prevalent in the original Hiptop have disappeared! The sound quality is excellent and the phone itself has a solid feel to it.
EMAIL & INSTANT MESSAGING
If email and instant messaging is your thing, this device is for you... period.
WEB BROWSER
I HAVE EXPERERIENCED QUITE A BIT OF DIFFICULTY ACCESSING EBAY (and I use eBay extensively). Most other sites load without a hitch.
CAMERA
The built-in camera with flash is a nice touch. The pictures seem to be "okay", because this is the first phone with a camera, so I can't really judge what's good and what's not.
DRAWBACKS
01) This is a BIG ONE for me! THERE IS NO SYNCH AVAILABLE FOR MACINTOSH! And although a company called Mark Space has developed and made ready for release the software necessary to do this, there has been no push by Danger, SunCom, or T-Mobile to make it available.
02) No way of searching through messages. I receive large emails, which take forever to read. A way of SEARCHING through the email message would be a nice touch, and a great time saver.
03) For the more conservative phone user, which I am, there is no "regular" type phone ring. I am forced to use a more progressive ring tone. Danger did a nice job including a ton of "neat" ring tones, but forgot to put in just a regular one!
04) The screen upon opening and closing feels a little flimsy, once openned or closed though, it is secure and solid.
In summary, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this phone to anyone that wants a phone with all the options.

Best of the Best Smartphones
Everyone wants the perfect PDA/Phone Hybrid. Before you had to compromise. If you wanted web access, you need Windows. If you wanted organization, you needed Plam. If you needed email, you needed Blackberry. The a company called Danger brought to T-Mobile a mobile device called Sidekick. It took the best aspects of all three major OS's and merged them into one awesome device. The Sidekick utilizes push service for email. Your emails are blasted to you directly and immediately. The calendar, contacts, to do's, and notes(and everything else) get synced over the air, so you never lose your info. Everyone wants the web on their phone. With other OS's, you get one of two options: a nice looking page with an unbelievable amount of scrolling or a full screen page of stuff you can't read. Sidekick solves that dilemma as well. It dynamically reformats the pages so that all you have to do is scroll down to read. I admit that the original Sidekick had issues with volume and the raised screen made it difficult to talk on. Now the screen has been lower into the device making it flush when closed. They greatly improved the volume and added a spectacular speaker phone and integrated camera. The screen itself is magnificent and can be seen at any angle. I know T-Mobile does have the biggest network, but it works perfectly for me!! Call quality is even better on the new model as well. I have used the Samsung I700 and I600, Kyocera 6035 and 7135, Blackberry 7750, O2 xda, Nokia 9290, Audiovox Thera, every Clie ever made, and numerous other PDA's and cellphones. I have worked in the wireless field for a number of years now. I have yet to find a device that integrates a phone and pda into one device better than the Sidekick. With the addition of the speakerphone, louder earpiece, recessed screen, and camera, Danger has made this awesome device even better. Bottom line, you can't get more connected or stay more productive and organized than you can with the Sidekick2.
