Motorola V360 / V361
Average Ratings
Really Nice phone from Moto
I ordered this phone along with a Moto Razr and I love this phone.. more than my RAZR. It has lots of good features like MP3 player, External Memory, Bluetooth, video capture/playback yet it is sleek & light (not as much as the RAZR).
Pros,
- The display is bright and nice.
- The sound quality call is good. The nice thing about this phone I liked was that the external speaker is loud. So you can play songs on it just like an ordinary CD player/boombox. The speaker quality is decent.
- Comes with a decent size MMC card (64MB) so you can load songs on it.
- The phone can also be used a Mass Storage device. Simply plug in the phone to PC using the USB cable and PC recognizes it as storage devices so you can transfer files by just dragging on dropping them to the phone or PC.
- Battery life is decent. Although I didn't get to test this as much. But I typically charge phones overnight so that's not an issue for me.
- Camera quality is also decent not to mention that it only supports QVGA resolution.
Cons:
- I found phone to be somewhat slow. Especially when launching the music player or other games.
- I feel the Moto UI needs an update now. Its still has the same look and feel since from the T710 days.
Overall it is a decent phone with good feature and I would definitely recommend it to others. So far I have been nothing but satisfied with the phone.
V360
Had this phone for a couple of months now, and I have to say I am still impressed with it. This is the first Motorola that I have owned that has bluetooth, card expansion and all of the other bells and whistles. Sound clarity on this handset is not always the greatest, I am using this phone with T-Mobile and I get static on 50 percent of the calls made. Even with the static the speaker is very loud, and I think this is more of a T-Mobile problem than a V360 issue. Inner LCD is great, very bright and very good quality. The speaker phone works really well, although sometimes the volume does not get loud enough. I have flashed my phone with new software that allows me to take advantage of EDGE connectivity, so the web is super fast. Camera resolution is low, but is sufficient for sending from phone to phone. The camera itself is amazing as far as clarity in the LCD, and works great in all light conditions, even in the dark! If you get this phone, you need to mod it. It is a must. You can change skins, ringers, games, you can make it quad band and EDGE enabled. If you want bang for your buck, this is the one. I haven't found anything that it cant do yet. This is my favorite phone to date.
Buyer Beware..
I purchased this V360 at the end of February, with a new contract with T-Mobile. I liked that it had bluetooth, digicam and mobile media player. Sure the camera does it's job, though the video camera is very low quality, and captures only 15 seconds. After having the first phone for only a month, it began to lock up, and shutdown on its own. Contacted T-Mobile, and they dispatched another V360. This one, after having it only a few days, it too began to shutdown on it's own. Contacted T-Mobile yet again, they're dispatching yet ANOTHER V360. As it goes, it's a solid phone. Menus are a bit confusing, but I can deal with that. Sound quality is moderate, reception is good and otherwise, a fair phone. However, with the major glitches it's having, I'd have to say, buyer beware. I know that the V3 series had problems, but they said nothing about the V360. I've read on other sites that users are having somewhat of the same issue. So, if you're looking at it, be sure to have other models you can compare, and possibly go with.
To sum this up:
I would NOT recommend this phone for it's use, however I WOULD recommend this phone for it's aesthetics, and size.
Motorola v360 T-Mobile
I recently upgraded to this phone from the v600. i work for t-mobile and out of all the phones that T-mobile has on the market, I have to say that this is the best one. After comparing it to the very popular Razr and Pebl, it still beats them both. The battery is excellent, i go all day playing my mp3 player and still have a decent charge on my battery, the music player is very easy to use and access and the bluetooth connection is excellent. great style, the web browsing is accelerated with GPRS EDGE and the speaker-phone is awesome. Along with a micro-SD card, this has got to be the best phone on the market. Don't bother wasting time trying to decide... buy the v360.
Had it for a week and returned it
I tried this phone on T-Mobile and returned it after a week. My main issue was the fact that the voice quality wasn't as good as I had expected. I'm not sure if this was the fault of the phone or T-Mobile. I'm guessing it's the later. I was using this phone in and around Manhattan, NY.
Pros:
Great interior display
Solid feel
Lots of ringer options
Bluetooth
Speakerphone was the best I've ever tried
Outside display shows the time without blacking out
Cons:
Ear piece volume was poor
Outside display looks cheap
Certainly worth the expense
I've never felt compelled to say this about a moto before, but this is a solid device. Not perfect, by any means, but certainly one of the best of it's price range.
PROs:
-Decent MP3 player, with transflash memory slot (package includes USB cable, which is always a plus)
-Mini-USB charging port: it's about time moto got away from the faulty multi-port
-Compact design with sufficiently powerful intena
-Mp3's can be used as ringtones
-Decent Bluetooth
-Video capable
CONs:
-VGA camera without motion control (if you twitch when you press the capture key, the whole image blurs)
-MP3 ringers won't play on the phone if Bluetooth is active (I know it won't play on the headset, but it should on the phone)
-Back casing seems to come loose easily on impact (what can I say, I'm a clutz)
-Back casing must be removed to switch memory card (but what am I complaining about, I had an N-gage for 2 years)
-I have yet to find a moto extended battery
-Display gets hard to see in direct sunlight (a lot like a Game Boy Advance)
As a phone tech, I'm thoroughly satisfied with how much this phone can take and how it gets signal in low coverage areas.
As I said before, it's worth the money.
Motorola V360
This is the first cell phone I have had.
I had to return it after 11 days of little use. It was not able to hold enough of a charge to turn on.
Pretty dis-appointing
my last motorola...ever
ok, if you go back and view my reviews, you will see this journey started with a v600, went through several v330s and went to the v360.
all in all the v360 is a good phone with nice features, i like the mp3 player and the speakerphone, and i use the alarms daily. one of the only tmobile phones with the mp3 and microcard available, i expected more from this motorola.
the worst problem i had with the first brand new phone - i've had a replacement too - was that the speakerphone stopped working properly just a few weeks into ownership. the kipsk dude changed a few settings ??? which worked for a few days but then it went back to digitized garbled noise...i should say i heard people perfectly but they said i was digitized so badly it was garbled and sounded like a tin can. so i got a refurb replacement.
like the 330s before it, the refurb started white screening and freezing up in the middle of a call. i'd be talking to someone, then the phone would freeze completely and i couldnt hear my party and my party couldnt hear me. i couldnt turn it off either. the only way i could stop this was to take out the battery. the other problem wsa that suddenly in the middle of a function or a call, the phone screen would go white and reset.
the reception was awful too. worse than the v600! it would fade out in mid conversation in places i used to get a signal in regularly.
i dont recommend this phone. i'm trying the samsung t809 instead.
so needless to say i've given up after 7 different motorolas.
V360
This phone is alright. The speakerphone is good, the camera is fine. I haven't used the mp3 player or downloaded any pictures. Is anyone else having problems with the screen going blank, but the phone is still powered on? I'm having that problem today. I have service with T-mobile, and I sent a e-mail to their support team, but they are behind. Why is it so hard to get the battery out of the phone?
v360
Pros:
Flip phone = easier to maintain
Style = blue on monochrome, very nice
MP3, Video, 4X Zoom, USB charging capability.
Cons:
Reception, Reception, Reception, Reception.
I use the phone as a phone. I know that this is a new concept, but I did not get the phone due to looks, MP3 playability, Internet, Bluetooth, games, or cool ring-tunes. When I am in the local department or grocery store or even at work, I want to be able to make and receive calls. Everywhere I go, cell phones are being used, except mine!
