Have been carring this unit for about 5-6 months. Nice Size, feature rich, battery life with MAXIMUM CAPACITY Battery is 4+ days, longer if you turn it off at night. main problem is susceptible to water intrusion damage...needs a cover for the bottom of unit....ALL IDEN PORTABLE UNITS NEED A COVER ON THE BOTTOM OF UNIT>>>use Black tape if you can to cover contact points on bottom of unit... with the GPS feature and the "mobile locator" feature offered by NEXTEL i can keep track of all of my employees with the touch of a button, this phone is a valuable tool at my company, no more lying employees at check in time ill tell you that. i used to have i35's, VEY GOOD PHONE, sad to see them go, i upgraded to the i58sr to use NEXTEL's "mobile locator" to keep track of employees, al i ahve to do is go to the website, put in my login name and password and all my employees come up on the screen pinpointing them on the map, since then i have fired 7 people who have been lying about thier whereabouts during company time, GREAT PHONE!!!! loved it so much, i got one for each of my kids, which i also can track, no more lying to me about where you guys are at!
Excellent Phone
This phone not only looks cool, but delivers a bunch of super Nextel features for an inexpensive price. I have had it for about a month and love it. The only drawback to this phone is the fact that optional features MUST be purchased online and require a special cable or taking the phone into a Nextel direct dealer to add the features. SUPER PHONE. Battery life is superb. I work in the middle of the New Mexico desert, just on the edge of Nextel's service area, and still manage to keep a signal and the battery lasts ALL day--totally unheard of with any other service provider I have had.

The phone works well enough, but battery life is dismal! Even if I don't talk, the battery indicator is down to one bar within 6-8 hours. I don't know why, but even with a new battery I get the same results. As I understand it, many of my colleagues are having the same problem with this phone. I've used a number of cell phones in the past, but this one has the lowest battery life of them all. I would like to have another phone if my company allowed it.
