85% Perfect

Good:

• GPS Reception, routing. Very fast, no issues.
• Phone reception.
• 850MHZ included.
• Screen sharp with no glare.
• Nokia PC software and Outlook syncing works perfectly.
• OS Fast enough, more intuitive than my U600.
• Physical build quality. Firm slider, nice materials.
• Rear firing speakers surprisingly clear and suitable to task of in car navigation.
• Standard min-USB connector.
• Camera is good for 2MP. Nice flash. Quality lens cover.
• Price (until you buy maps).

Bad:

• IT CRASHES ALL THE TIME. Have to reset by removing battery.
• Comes preconfigured to use data connection all the time. BE CAREFUL.
• No predictive text like my Moto’.
• Alarm feature sucks.
• No USB charging. This is my first Nokia, are they all like this?
• Address entry for GPS: Should be predictive like all portable GPS units. Free text is a PITA.
• Maps WAY to expensive. End up costing more then a Garmin, Tom Tom, etc.
• Charging connection ON TOP makes in car mounting and charging awkward.
• CR-48 specific vehicle mount no where to be found on market.
• GPS eats batteries.
• Form factor too thick (though I knew this going in)
• 2MP camera is so 2004. C'mon. (though I knew this going in)

my thoughts on the Nokia 6110 Navigator

I love it. I haven't had a phone in a while where I would say that. I like the size of the phone. I have a thing for sliders right now so I liked how this one was made. I like the easy to navigate menus on this. Although this is my first S60 V3 Nokia it's not that slow as people make it out to be. I have a factory navigation system in my car, but I wanted to get something different as far as phones go so I chose this one, since not many people will have it. The biggest thing I love about this one is built-in GPS antenna. I like the camera lens cover as it protects it from scratches as many other phones get. I currently use my phone with the original AT&T blue in NorCal. Reception is great, it's a quadband phone signal should be strong almost everywhere that has a tower within range. The only gripe I have with this phone is that there is no A2DP bluetooth support. I guess it's ok to use the phone without it, but I bought some Motorola S805 DJ headphones to play mp3s. I have to use the 6110 without bluetooth headphones, but they do have some nice sounding stereo speakers built in. Overall that's what I thought about it, I'm keeping it along with my current collection which consist of: Vertu Motorsports edition, SE k800i Casino Royale, Nokia 8801, Nokia 8890, Nokia 7190, Motorola A630, 2x Motorola V80.
