avoid at all costs
I've NEVER written a consumer review of any gadget or device, not once in my life. But the Kyocera Rio e3100 is so bad, I had to register a username at this site just to warn you all about how awful it is. It's hardware is paltry and its software is worse. THis is my first kyocera phone and I'm unlikely to ever get another one.
It's not worth my time to get into too many details, but it's awful to type on, its predictive text is awful (the word "chili" doesn't exist in the dictionary, and when you type "stop" (7867) the phone predicts pump, puns, rump then runs--you have to click through to another screen to select 'stop' near the bottom of a long list -- so get out of the habit of asking people to "stop by" because you'll accidentally tell them to "pump by." It's hard to revivie from sleep mode, out-of-the-box its incapable of super basic things like transferring music from a PC, and on and on.
It's the worst phone I've ever had. I paid $50 for it from Page Plus (the Page Plus service is awesome). I went from an old Samsung candybar dumbphone (that was featureless but super capable) to this phone, which is also featureless but incapable and made worse by its useless touchscreen that doesn't work very well.
love it
had this phone for one week and i love it. I hate that I cant change the screen view. the ringtone sound is great. phone dosent frezze and connects to the internet with no problem. Cricket connection it good. But when on speaker phone, the person sounds muffled.
Kyocera Rio
Ok, Quit hating on this phone! I have been reading lots of fourms and people have been saying negative stuff about this phone, I have had it for a month and it is great! I HIGHLY recommend it!
