Greatest Phone
This phone does everything that I need it to do.
PROS
The phone is fast.
It Opens applications in a snap
The extra screen real estate is perfect for holding the phone and viewing videos with out cramping your hand because the screen is to big.
The 4G network is fast here in Jersey.
Texting on the new honeycomb keyboard is the easiest keyboard ever.
The 5MP Camera takes great pictures and recordds good videos.
I can tether for free and listen to music at the same time.
CONS
Nothing!
Love the KB, Swype and the screen
Awesome new interface. Blur is smooth. 1GhZ processor rocks the speed. Swype KB is very easy to use. Love the honeycomb shaped slider KB. Seemless Wi-Fi Calling in my home so I ALWAYS have 5 bars at home on T-Mobile. Pics are good and the FroYo version really allows the marketplace to be full of options. A major improvement on the MB200 (CLIQ)
G2 Alternative
I ran into a signal dropping problem with my G2 and after 2 G2's, I opted for something different and went for the Cliq2.
SPEED
The HSPA+ devices loads/downloads faster, but the Cliq 2 isn't too far behind.
DISPLAY
The Cliq 2's screen 'pops' in comparison to the G2.
KEYBOARD
I was able to quickly gain speed with the Cliq 2 keyboard. I think the hexagon shaped keys gives you more area to be in concise with your typing and still be accurate.
CALL QUALITY
The call sound quality is excellent. There's also an option for hearing aid compatibility settings, that I don't remember seeing on the G2.
The Volume of the calls was loud and clear.
MUSIC...
With music on the Cliq 2 you hear the acoustics and fine details of the instruments played. It's a wonderful listening experience. Clear and crisp.
BODY
Sliders don't typically win beauty contests. The Cliq 2 has very nice build,I like the rubber like backing.
SKIN - MOTOBLUR
The Motoblur overlay isn't an intrusion and actually gives the device a bit of flair.
Decent phone
pros: the phone is plenty fast and ran every game i threw at it smoothly (even that poorly optimized asphalt 5) and also handled flash smoothly as well. Motoblur isn't as heavy anymore it seems. Applications stay in the memory unlike many other android phones that i have had. This includes the browser and home application which would take years to load or reload on my droid or hd2 running android. It is far better than the two it supersedes so don't compare it to any of them .
cons: the battery life could be better, make sure to turn off keyboard shortcuts and a stupid pocket detection feature as it will turn the phone's screen off randomly. the shortcut feature has a bug in it that brings up gmail app every time i hit the "g" key no matter what application I happen to be in.
Overall this is an excellent phone with a great screen and processor speed and finally enough application memory. Motoblur is not much of a memory hog anymore and seems to be more optimized. Everything just flies on this phone. That being said, I don't understand why it is ranked as a mid range phone considering that it did everything as fast as my G2.
