worst phone ever made
if you want a phone that works properly, do not bother with this phone. the software is very buggy, the processor is incredibly slow, the screen is incredibly small, and overall the phone is just a piece of junk.
the only positive thing i can say about this phone is its pricing. But you get what you pay for, and a $39 android will work just like expected, if you expect nothing at all.
Allow me to make the decision for you. Don't Buy!
This phone represents a company trying to rip you off.
This phone is sold for it's 2.2 Android software, GREAT... no really.. THATS SO COOL. The only problem is your phone specs can't even run 2.2 without colossal failure. It's slow, like... really slow. Hit a button wait 10 seconds, still nothing slow. If you want to be apart of the future you can swipe your dumb little fingers across the screen to make words, oops that was the wrong word, oops i didn't even hit that letter, oops WTF how many times do i have to try to spell a 7 letter word, GARBAGE. Oh guess what? Coming included with the $55 bill you get internet. Don't be confused with what you thought that means, all it means is.. as long as you are close to an area ALREADY providing internet, you are fine (or now you get to attempt to have a strong enough connection to connect to ... anything), believe it or not... the phone doesn't provide it's own internet, though they sure do try to sell it as if it did. NEXT! Speaker output isn't bad... it's outright maddening and pathetic, to the point where if you want to know you are getting called or not, you better have your phone on vibrate. Even when you plug in your headphones, and the phone auto sets up DTS mode, WHICH DOES NOTHING. Listening to anything on this device is impossible... outside a phone call. Camera is as bad as you would assume. You have to remember this is sold (NORMALLY $150? LOLOLOL) as a smart phone... but manages to stay ahead of the retard race. /pass

You get what you pay for
So I bought this phone five months ago and got exactly what I was expecting.
The first thing you will notice on powering the phone on is how small the phone's screen is. Not entirely bad as the phone is very tiny regardless. It's really pixelated. Reading text is somewhat difficult. The colors are very nice and the screen gets quite bright, as I am able to easily view the screen outdoors in full sunlight.
Reception is TERRIBLE. I have some friends who are on metro and they all consistently have at least 2 or 3 bars more than this phone does. Even then, the calls sound really "muddy". Maybe it's the speaker, but I don't think so. The speaker phone itself suffers from the same problem. People often complained of feedback when I used speaker phone and we both experienced bad distortion.
Battery life is pretty bad, but that's to be expected for an android. The stock battery gets you about 6 hours heavy use, so it's whatever.
I quite like the small, rounded form factor. It certainly feels cheap, but nice, too. Very ergonomic. You won't even notice it in your pocket with the stock battery. The touchscreen is very smooth, too, but I wouldn't be surprised if it developed scratches.
Huawei did something dubious with this phone that you will only notice if you root it. A lot of the bloatware is in a read only state on the phone, meaning you can't erase them right away unless you change their state. Also this phone will freeze, or at least get hung up a lot and very frequently. On the worst occasions, it can last a full 20 seconds before it will actually do what you told it too. Not very good at multitasking at all. In call dialpad will often lag, sometimes it won't hang up for a few seconds after you actually hang up the phone. Quite a laggy phone. It got a lot better once I removed some of the bloatware, though.
In conclusion, a pretty good buy for 50 dollars. It's probably one of the lamest android devices in existence, though.
can't use
PRO: sharp and colorful screen images
CON: hot, burning up, smells like an electrical fire, poor sound quality, poor reception, can not take off the back cover - totally stuck and very poor battery life, 20 minutes at best
so far, ok
well so far ive sold lots of this in my store and costumers dont seems to come back complaining about it. it takes a lot to start (thats where you know its a huawei) but other than that, perfect.
2.2 android platform
3.0 mp camera
3.5 audio jack which i find a good improvement, since the ascend had the always hard to get 2.5 jack.
its a decent phone for the price. sensual form, compact, convenient.
