Keeps on ticking!
How about I just do a pro and con list...
Cons:
-AMOLED Screen WILL get burn-in (Typical Samsung planned obsolescence here how they didn't program a screensaver to prevent this)
-OS Speed of phone : Phone is pretty slow to do everything and always was to me (I got it used)
-Small screen
PRO's:
-Rubber Grip built into chassis of phone. Nuff Said
-Military spec phone: drop proof, scratch proof, dust proof and water proof. I don't think there will ever be a tougher phone on the USA market
-AMOLED Screen: Super Bright and Vivid and visible in any lighting condition
-Battery Life: Talking 3 hours a day the battery typically lasted 30 hours between charges.
-Reception: amazing reception I could make calls where all my friends could not with their flagship phones from apple and LG and samsung
-Did I mention how the screen glass is scratch proof? And how I dropped the phone 1000+ times for 3 years and it still works perfect?
-Camera: Very solid programming for the Camera never crashed on me and I took 900 pictures over three years - Panoramic setting is cool
P.S. ~ Quadrant Standard benchmarking application gives this phone a low and slow 1456 if anyone is interested...
Great phone!
This rugby is easy to use, all the apps that a person could want or need. Water resistant; it sure is! At a friends home a few days ago, her 6 yr son decided to grab my phone from the table and throw it over the fence into the pool. The part of the pool was 6 feet deep! Not knowing he had done this we looked for a good 40 minutes before noticing it in the pool. I figured at this point it would dead, that long in that deep water. Got the phone out and soak and wet and it works great! I just dried it off with a towel and continue on!
Awesome phone, truly rugged and water resistant!!!
Rugby Smart - YES it is.
Talking on the speakerphone and making a spreadsheet notation change while standing in the pouring rain, hands muddy, and water dripping off the Samsung Rugby Smartâs Gorilla glass Super AMOLED display. Wow! Like it was nothing!
Noting my customerâs raised eyebrows at my soakin' wet phone?
Priceless.
This nice sized handset, with front and back cameras, has a beefy rubberized edge, holds a 32GB micro SD card, records 720P HD video, and has decent external speaker quality.
Itâs Android so all the needed APPS apply, but if you donât get a handle on all of them running simultaneously, then your battery drains FAST! (4hrs) otherwise, only talking, and conservative use of email, media updates, and weather radar checks, you can go all day.
Supports Android, Samsung or Swype predictive text entry, bright, clear display, 180 degree screen rotation, super bright one key-press flashlight all in a non-glitz, black, stealth mode form factor. This is a work phone that also looks pretty nice in the sports coat, the sports car or on the desk at work. (Or truck.)
It is rugged, but not bulletproof, so donât go totally wild.
Itâs forgiving, but not against stupidity.
PRO - Wet, dust and dirt OK, Clear bright display, One touch flashlight button, lots of internal memory, great 3G reception. DATA transfers are FAST.
CON - Battery life, 4g reception sometimes sketchy with the EDGE and 3g hand-off, not enough buttons (Hey, I like buttons.)
âNuff said. A nice phone. Good job Samsung.
