Optimus G Pro,
I have had this for 1 week. I'm a 41 year old cell phone junky.
Display.
Simply awesome. Detailed, full HD. Not as saturated as the Galaxy family. That's becoming more of a personal preference. The color rendition is more accurate and true to life than most out there. The 5.5" inch screen is gorgeous. I'd go HTC One, IPhone 5,then this phone.
Battery.
It's very good. It's got a good size, but the monster screen pushing full HD is thirsty. Easily gets through the day. But it's not the Note 2 or Razor Maxx. There's a couple of aftermarket extended battery's though to fix that.
Performance.
Second only to the S4 and One in synthetic benchmarks. Real world the wife has the One. Opening up the same 10 gig power point, the pro was faster. They are all so fast now the speed is negligible. The other thing to keep in mind is the pro is behind the other top tier phone's on the software front. So when it does get the latest greatest Android flavor, it will be on a level field with the S4 etc.. .
Software
The LG user interface is good. So is the One, and the S4. Each have a few unique features. But again it's personal preferences I think more now than ever.
Sound
Earpiece great.
Speaker phone the weak part of the phone. When I say weak, it's just OK. It's not bad.
Camera, video recording.
Above average. Lots of options. Very detailed. The thing I don't understand is lot's of people downplaying pixels. I think because the One went with a 4 mega pixel, marketing it as it's not so important. It's the ability to zoom without grain, the ability to have a very detailed pic. Not just the size of the pic.
Both are excellent on this phone.
Overall.
Exceptional phone. In my opinion better than the S4, on par with the One.

LG Optimus Pro versus Note II/S4
1st it is narrower (easier to hold & handle)
2nd has a very clear IPS screen
3rd batt life is good
4th lighter wgt. than Note II
5th does have better TV, VCR, ect. program than S4
Has several good, usable features.
However,
Colors are more natural, to brighten them, u have
to put screen on max brightness, still seem somewhat
washed out. And if u go to a screen that is white (email, contacts, etc.) Screen is then too bright.
With the same processor & ram, its about 20% slower
than a Galaxy S4.
Yes it has a 5.5" screen similar to Note II, but its longer & narrow, which I particulary do not like.
Not talking bout the brightness or saturation of the
color, the LG Pro has a lot less colorful screens, with
more white & pastel colors. I like Colorful personally.
Also its only running Android 4.1.2 unlike S4's 4.2,
which is a noticable diff.
Actually my Note II is almost as fast as Optimus Pro.
Depends on which benchmark app u use. Not a bad phone, but I guess I'll stick with Note II.
Even though Pro has 13 megapixel camera, Note II's
8 megapixel seems to do a better job, especially using video.

Great Phone
Had the phone for about 2 weeks now. It is a super fast phone that has a great display. Easy to use. A nice super big display but yet easy to hold.
Take nice photos as well.
The best thing, however, is the battery life. I get almost 2 days of use out of it. One of the best battery life on a smartphone that I have ever had.
All-in-all I give it a 5 out of 5 stars. If you thinking about a smart phone I would go with this guy.

Specs are about the same or even better than Note 2 but way cheaper!
I had couple LG phones in the past and never have any bad experience! LG is as good as Samsung but is a very humble guy because they don't put enough money for marketing! The screen is absolutely beautiful! CPU chip is even a bit faster than Note 2! Same screen size as Note 2 but instead of making it as wide, LG makes it a longer which is a bit easier to hold. One main thing I like about LG is that they make products comparable but their pricing is exceptional competitive! I got this from AT&T @ $99! I believe Note 2 is still $199 or $249?

Awesome phone, even 2 years later
I've had this phone for 2 years now and it still performs exceptionally well.
Display: Still a great display. I have no complaints, and I haven't seen anything newer that blows it away.
Battery: As long as I don't play games on it all day I can easily get more than a day of usage out of it.
Sound: Volume is acceptable, but it could be a little louder. Almost never use the speakerphone.
UI: Really like how light the LG touches seem to be. One of my favorites so far.
Overall this has been a stellar phone. Even with Kit Kat it still performs well. I will upgrade at some point, because hey, we all want new stuff, but this has been the first phone that I've had this long because I haven't had any reason to replace it yet!
