Amazing Phone!

Jan 20, 2014 by sounday

Just got the Moto G a couple days ago, Ordere it from Motorola directly ( GSM Global 16 GB ) and also a Chalk Back Cover, the first impression was the quality of the device, good weight, nice grip and overall solid Phone!

Interface it's quick, no lag or delay, screen is just pleasent, the side buttons are great and with good travel and feedback, both buttons have a nice profile, making them easy to find and use.

Just got the Kit-Kat upgrade yesterday and camera and other apps had a noticeable improvement.

Call quality it's great, never had any trouble, also speaker phone is loud enough. Speaker also is loud and clear, Camera it's good enough and i can't complain.

All that said, the Moto G worths every dollar, and for a low end price, mid-range specs, the High end expirience had nothing to envy!

Perfectly adequate all-day phone

Dec 30, 2013 by Globhead

It's no miracle phone. I think mainly it is a combination of Motorola choosing to make a reasonable mid-range phone, which for some reason is an underserved market.

The processor is faster than my old phone, but has some noticeable limitations if you have played with high-end phones. If works just fine for gmail, twitter, most web browsers, and a lot of other apps which normal people are likely to use.

It has enough RAM to switch among common apps without having to dump its memory and reload them every time you go from a Vine clip back to your email, etc.

The display is nice and clear. It could use a wider viewing angle to reduce that standard LCD holo appearance, but it is actually better than anything else I have used at this price or lower.

The camera is "OK" but not great. If you view a photo zoomed in to full resolution, it looks a bit muddy. But without cropping most photos will look just fine when displayed on a PC screen. It does not have excessive purple fringing. It's not super fast, but noticeably faster than cheaper phones. The focus lock also helps when you tap and hold to do burst mode--it focuses normally once, then shoots multiple images at the same focus, so you can pick the best shot later. The dragable target controls both focus AND metering which can make some pictures easier to take than slightly better cameras without this.

The big star here is the battery. 2000mah means I can use the phone normally all day, forget to charge it at night, and still have about 1/3 of the battery left in the morning. Other cheap phones would be almost completely dead by the end of the first day.

This seems like the sort of phone most people should have. It mostly works just fine and smooth, and has a battery which allows you to use email and social apps on your phone as your main device, not just something which is amusing when the battery isn't dead. However, it is nothing like a replacement for the Nexus 5.

Moto G XT 1032 16GB

Jun 13, 2014 by Mark_S

Probably the best more budget conscious mid-range smart Android phone on the market today. Other than the missing LTE radio and Micro SD port which the updated version will have out soon, I absolutely recommend this phone! Battery life is great, display is great, reception and call quality is above par.
I hear multiple complaints about the camera being below par. 5 megapixels is decent enough. You want a camera, dish some money out for the Nokia 1020.
As with any smartphone. Install an app killer and a RAM booster to occasionally free up space so the phone won't lag like some do when the apps activate on their own and bloat the phone.
No bugs or glitches noticed so far. UI interface is very friendly and decent.
Data works great for a 3G device.

Its A Great Device For A Great Price$$$

Mar 5, 2014 by joselol23

Every Feature On This Device Works Great. You Can Open Lots Of Apps And The Moto G Dont Seem To Freeze Or Slow Down, Watching HD Movies They Look Great.
The Only Thing I Disliked Was The Battery Life You It Runs Out Really Fast You Will Need To Have A Portable Charger To Keep Your Moto G Alive. But Other Than That This Device Its Great It Looks Solid And Strong It Dont Have Like A Cheap Feel To It.

It allright

Dec 3, 2013 by x2   updated Dec 4, 2013

It´s allright, not really missing anything from most other phones, except of course the unique features to flagship devices like recognizing my eyes or hand gestures or the finger print sensors.

Great display, I read that it has Gorilla Glass and waterproof nano coating for internal components, but don't really want to try that out.

average camera, HDR works ok,
Was surprised though that it had good video quality.

Good at multitasking, no lag when listening to music, uploading things to the drive. and playing some games.

since its made by google or something like it , it works very well with the android software and built in apps .

-- Speaker could be louder.

-- of course it sucks only to have 16gb of memory witch of, I can only use like 13.

I´ve only had it for a couple of days, but I would recommend it if you want a good phone and don´t realy care too much for dishing out a lot of $$ on a flagship phone.
